I have been working at Trellis Company

    Pros

Some great people who genuinely care about each other. The chance to be part of building something new and taking a company in new directions.

    Cons

Tenured employees who are reluctant to change Need more high performers and change agents

    Advice to Management

The new executive team shows promise and the strategy that they are pursuing sounds very exciting. Keep on making improvements; this will be a successful, profitable company and a great place to work!

I worked at Trellis Company full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

In the past the company offered strong benefits to partially offset below market compensation.

    Cons

One offering company based on an obsolete federal program. Company has been unable to replace and is now in the process of winding down as their loan portfolio ages.

I worked at Trellis Company full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Was a great place to work. Talented people, great culture legacy of Milt former CEO

    Cons

Former (Sue )CEO just let a great company deteriorate. Sue McMillan should be ashamed for running the company to the ground.

    Advice to Management

Good luck bringing the company back to life ! Sue McMillan destroyed a great company when she just sat there for years collecting a fat paycheck while blaming everyone else for the company's demise, including the board.

    Pros

Good company that has a relaxed environment. Good benefits and people are good to work with and for. Work is interesting and challenging; never boring.

    Cons

TG is reinventing themselves, Their main line of business is declining and they have not created a new line of business. It's risky to take a job with them at this time. I wish them all the best with future business.

    I worked at Trellis Company

    Pros

-Location -Facilities & parking -Friendly colleagues -Great professional development opportunities -Great benefits, including tuition reimbursement

    Cons

-Upper management seemed very shortsighted and bureaucratic; most appeared to just be 'riding the wave' until retirement -The difference in how the phone-based versus back office employees were treated was completely night and day. As a phone-based employee, the minimum monthly quotas were fairly reasonable , but you were to maintain the exact same quota each month even if life events, illness, or earned vacations,... meant that you were out for a portion of the month. Hence, bring on the gut-wrenching, panic-laden feelings that missing a couple days of work could very likely result in a written warning for the month. As the phone-based employees became the only revenue generators in my time there, this was very insulting. -No opportunities for advancement, partially due to a lack of turnover in the cushier, non-phone based areas of the company.

    Advice to Management

Frankly, it's time to see if the company still plays a role in today's market, or if it's time to turn it in. Apparently, not much progress in determining the company's future role has been made since I left.

I worked at Trellis Company full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Used to be a great place to work before they fired key IT people and let other key talent walk out the door.

    Cons

Fired most of their IT staff. They are hanging on by a thread. They kept all the Sr. executive that provided very little value added to the company.

    Advice to Management

If you do not have a working computer system, you do not have a company.
