    Pros

TG offers a stable environment where you will not get fired if you show up on time and keep a decent attitude. It is a great place to learn about FFELP and other student financial aid issues. Very diverse workforce and good facilities. A good stepping stone to a career in financial aid and higher education.

    Cons

As an IT worker, TG's leadership and competency of executive and senior staff make success difficult. Management has been staffed by a closely held group of buddies and old-boys (and girls) network who are turf-war conscious, making it difficult to be successful. Contractors are held in somewhat high esteem versus full time employees. Lots of architecting, very little actual doing.

    Advice to Management

Resign? Seriously. Some of the departments at TG are competently managed and led, IT is not one of them. Executive management should actively recruit experience and talent to replace the current leadership.
