I have been working at Trend Micro full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good management, a good amount of freedom. As long as you do your work well there isn't a lot of micromanagement. Good life work balance.

    Cons

The pay is average instead of stellar. You may need to be willing to work some weird hours to collaborate with others across the globe due to the nature of the company.

    Advice to Management

Mostly keep doing what you're doing. Maybe find more ways to help disparate teams find each other and collaborate.

I have been working at Trend Micro full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Amazing benefits. Always welcoming challenges. Endless knowledge. Challenging. Flexibility with school if permitted. Employee appreciation. Training opportunities.

    Cons

Management lacking. Inconsistent knowledge. Micro managing. Far drive from previous company location. Inconsistency with management and realistic goals. Almost no option with leaving certain manager. Constantly taking on more work and left behind to handle the position along with the short staffed positions. Inconsistency with realistic goals.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees, we put in 150% everyday

I worked at Trend Micro full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Solid products, talented employees and Trend's health benefits are above average.

    Cons

The worst C level management team (Trend USA only) I have ever worked for, period.

The executive teams mindset is they are still a startup company inside a 28 year old AV vendor.

Management (USA) keeps doing the same hiring and firing of sales people as the answer to their lack of increased revenue and marketshare in NA.

Constant reorging for the sake of change without proper leadership direction, research and proper marketing leads to high sales employee turnover.

No 360 review process or genuine employee feedback.

Do not make waves whatsoever at Trend. Suggestions and feedback are not valued here.

Their sales model is LIFO. Your success (or lack thereof ) depends on the accounts you are assigned to.

    Advice to Management

Its time for new leadership at Trend USA who know how to run a large organization. Fire yourselves!

I worked at Trend Micro full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great technology for companies to buy and install to provide security against today's cyber attacks.

    Cons

C level Upper management has no idea what is going on in sales field and needs to cut out the condescending VP's by monthly calls with it's sales force and engineers. Along with the VP treatment of women in those phone calls. He needs to go.

    Advice to Management

Change and turn over are your enemy not the sales people. Your own customers don't know what Trend does outside of Anti-malware.

    Pros

Great atmosphere. Kind of like a "google" place to work. Excellent benefits. Everyone in I.T. knows who we are.

    Cons

Constant changes in sales territories makes it difficult to get a rhythm going.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work and kick the competition to the curb!

I worked at Trend Micro (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I really enjoyed working with my co-workers. We would help each other as much as possible. The health benefits were nice too.

    Cons

My position was moved to Texas and I was not moving with it. It seems like new management is more concern about control rather than helpful support.

    Advice to Management

I know sometimes earning money is important but sometimes it is better to spend a little more to have a better support team. Moving to Texas and losing much of the experienced support personal will not benefit the overall view of the company.

I have been working at Trend Micro full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, some quite unique. $10000 company coverage for adopting a child, for example! Generous vacation policy. Small performance bonuses.

    Cons

I was brought into the Trend Micro fold via acquisition 6 months ago, so I have limited time as an employee, but thus far have seen no real cons. They are a little fussy about having to acrue vacation prior to taking it, but since the vacation policy is generous, it's not a big deal

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good corporate citizenship policy. The world needs more corporations like you.

    Pros

Relaxed environment, decent compensation, regular hours, regular company events, decent business model, growing market

    Cons

Office Politics, Poor benefits for contractors, an unending state of transition... The company has changed hands 4 times in the past 5 years

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate the lower management structure some shady practices are taking place there.
