I worked at Trex Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Management wants to see individuals grow professionally.
Great company culture (team mindset with a positive attitude).
    Great pay/benefits/bonus.

    Cons

Communication was sometimes an issue between departments, but that was starting to improve.

    Advice to Management

Create an open forum for employees to give feedback

I worked at Trex Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits and pay, vacation, 401k and team members are friendly

    Cons

Favoritism and limited room for growth

    Advice to Management

Set your team members up so they can learn and grow and ask them for their opinions on positions they're interested in and actually follow through, it's understandable that it may not be done during the busy season but there is a lot of frustration on the crews because of this.

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Trex Company (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A paycheck and benefits. That's about it.

    Cons

Former CFO and new CEO now in place pushing "cost cutting" What a surprise. Now micro-management from sale managers, busy work, CRM BS and all the other crap that comes with the change. Was a great place under Ron Kaplan who was demanding but fair. Now, CYA at the top and middle management boys club. Sales folks et the gooey end of the stick. Unfortuneate as the comapny was a good place to work. Not now.

    Advice to Management

Stop the suck-up to the executives and patting one another on the back. Appreciate what your sales people have to do and go through as the feet on the street. Oh yea, how about doling out a few more sheckles while your at it as we have bills to pay too. Maybe cut down on a few of your booz fests with "customers" Yeah, right.

I have been working at Trex Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent leadership has got the company going in the right direction as it was in bad shape just five years ago. New products that perform, solid distribution and a growth strategy any employee would want to be a part of in the company they work for.

    Cons

Communication is lacking at times but getting better. Career path growth is limited.

    Advice to Management

Keep with the strategy and stay the course. Add new products into new markets beyond just backyard outdoor living.
