    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Trexin Consulting full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The best part about working for Trexin is the leadership. They really care about you as an individual and go out of their way to make Trexin a great fit for each employee. My boss has been very receptive to my career goals, and provides ample opportunities for me to meet them

    Cons

Projects and roles are limited given the size of the firm

    Advice to Management

Continue to develop a strong sales engine to diversify projects

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Trexin Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Trexin has top notch talent. I've consistently worked with some of the best people in the industry. Trexin is also great because people at all levels work closely together, you can be 3 or 4 years out of college and work with someone who's been a VP or C suite level person at another company.

    Cons

Trexin is growing, but sometimes those growing pains are felt with lack of diverse assignment and limit selection in what you get a chance to do.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Trexin Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very strong leadership, high integrity, committed to its employees, recognize employee achievements, focused on results and progress, great relationships with clients. Empowers employees willing to take initiative and accept accountability.

    Cons

Fast-growing and fast-paced, so orientation for new hires is a challenge, so much work that all available time spent on client projects, leaving little time for training and professional development

    Advice to Management

Continue soliciting employee feedback, keep rewarding your employees for hard work and success, maintain commitment to innovation.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Trexin Consulting as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

A talented leadership team with many years of experience. Great opportunity to learn from some of the best in IT.

    Cons

Most of the company's challenges seem to be around trying to grow quickly. They don't have the normal HR processes and procedures in place like some of the bigger consulting firms, yet they are hiring rapidly and new hires are forced to deal with the lack of structure. They are working hard to fix this, but are still playing catch up.

    Advice to Management

You have a great thing going. Don't try to grow too quickly.

I have been working at Trexin Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

With only a few exceptions, the talent of the people working here is better than any other place I've worked. The culture is really all about doing the right thing by the customer. No offices, so depending on the client, hours are flexible.

    Cons

Work-life balance is non-existent, but consistent with most consulting companies. Lack of bonus for two years running is becoming old. Hard place to start because there are a lot of high performers and a lot is expected right away.

    Advice to Management

Consider taking on some more capital to ride out the ups and downs of consulting.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Trexin Consulting full-time

    Pros

Trexin has only about 100 people, so regular partner-level contact is the norm. Trexin focuses on doing a great job for their clients, and they try to put people in places where they can succeed. Comp and Benefits are very good. Promotions are quite achievable. Projects tend to have high level visibility at their clients (can be pro or con!).

    Cons

Different projects can be run in quite different ways depending on which senior leaders are involved. There are a wide variety of projects and employees are expected to fit, making it hard to specialize. Bonuses have been smaller than expected recently. Not a lot of training unless you get approval for external training.

    Advice to Management

Selling a low bonus based on future improvements is getting old.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Trexin Consulting full-time

    Pros

Work with Trexin was fun, but taxing. The people are great, and so are the benefits and compensation.

    Cons

There was a very low sense of work-life balance, and offered little for professional growth. Some requests seemed to be unnecessarily meticulous.

    Advice to Management

Need to better review how employees are asked to spend their time in order to be effective.
