I worked at Triad Retail Media full-time

    Pros

Helped to pioneer the Shopper Marketing space. Represents top retailers including Walmart, Kohl's, Sears; considered a tech leader in Florida

    Cons

Completely focused on agreeing to retail client's revenue demands, even if they are not realistic or sustainable. Consequently Triad's recent track record has been consecutive years delivering negative returns against goals, despite increases in overall revenue. Operates like an old-school sales organization rather than one that recognizes the challenges of the contemporary media landscape. Focused on inflating revenue pipeline vs. delivering realistic projections.

    Advice to Management

Understand that other companies are catching up and sometimes surpassing Triad as a data delivery and analytics company. Find ways to meet the needs of client, particularly large-scale agencies who do not feel compelled to work with Triad because they have a lot more choices of media partners who are more agile and can deliver comparable data for campaigns.

I worked at Triad Retail Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Team focus, neat perks, great insight, relationship building with large US retailers

    Cons

Lean team leads to overworked teammates, promises of promotion during interview without follow through, unbalanced

    Advice to Management

Better communicate with team to determine where inconsistencies are. When issues are presented and not discussed or a solution isn't sought after, the whole team suffers.

    Pros

Always looking to take care of employees who are putting in the smart and hard work.

    Cons

Goals are high. You must be ready to accept and work thru challenges.

    Advice to Management

More manager training. Experience in media or sales doesn't always make a good supervisor.

I have been working at Triad Retail Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get an opportunity to work on a variety of projects with major national brands. Occasional opportunity to concept big seasonal ideas and create engaging custom content. Cultural can be fun if you make an effort to get involved.

    Cons

Very fast paced, might be difficult for people with little experience in the field. Many times there is little ability to offer creative input, though this is more due to client's creative wishes than Triad's ability to produce quality work. Company is very sales focused.

    Advice to Management

While sales are important, don't forget about the people who organize, produce and distribute what we are selling. Get back to the culture that so many came for and push teams to become the leader in custom content that we very easily could be.

I worked at Triad Retail Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You'll get the opportunity to work with some of the largest companies in the world.

There's never a lack of things that need to get done.

New ideas are generally welcomed and encouraged.

If you enjoy not just crunching numbers but finding the reason behind trend you'll enjoy the job.

    Cons

Don't expect a great work life balance. 10 hour days were the norm and I had my fair share of 12+ hour days during the busy season.

While work travel can be enjoyable it tends to happen in chunks. Over the stretch of 8 days I was in 6 states.

Depending on the publisher you are working with you will have varying levels of support. The publisher I worked with barely gave us support and often felt like we were fighting two fronts one against the clients and one against the publisher.

There was a fair amount of political infighting during a management shift.

    Advice to Management

It's tough because the team grew so quickly there was a desire to keep everyone in the loop. But in doing so it made the political infighting fairly blantant which added extra stress to an already stressful job.

With the growing of the team size it would be better to keep some of the upper management disagreements out of the regular office chatter.

I have been working at Triad Retail Media full-time

    Pros

Fine for entry-level employees just starting out in their careers.

    Cons

Disrespectful management with big heads and tenured employees who cut corners and could give a crap about the business but still get praised. Boasts about a culture that is virtually nonexistent. Lay offs on the same day the Mayor visited to recognize the company for MASSIVE GROWTH... what a joke.

    Advice to Management

Stop trash talking your clients-- they are the ones who fuel your business. Out with the old, in with the new....
