I worked at Triarc full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very nice crew members with colorful life experiences and Some managers that see you as a human being and value you

    Cons

Getting called in often on my days off, never got a sick day in my 3 years working for the company without demands being made for doctor's notes, getting screamed at even when a problem could've been prevented, harassment issues with one particular manager whom was reported...he got 2 weeks unpaid suspension and still works there. Schedule would change overnight without being made aware of the change.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and do something about horrible managers...Don't always blame one person for an issue that May be beyond there control. Value your employees, they're more than just numbers on your payroll

I worked at Triarc (More than 10 years)

    Pros

awesome public exposure, globally known, quality food

    Cons

too many chiefs and not enough Indians, way too top heavy with high paid do-nothings

    Advice to Management

Trust your Indians they get the job done right! The bean counters are not always right. If Dave were alive, the company would be better off and better run!

    Pros

Great hours, easy to get off. People were open to trading shifts which was pretty uncommon in this sort of job. I really liked meeting the people I worked with as well.

    Cons

Working on holidays wasn't very fun.

    Advice to Management

Get MORE managers. Its hard to find out what you have to do when there are so little managers and whatnot. However, the few managers there were were great and helped me out a lot with work.

    Pros

Interesting work. Great senior management team.

    Cons

No work life balance. Poor middle management structure on the finance side. Employees are not recognized for their accomplishments and are asked to sacrifice personal time for the convenience of middle management.

    Advice to Management

You have a great company filled with talented people. Take the time to evaluate middle management or better yet conduct 360 reviews to find out what's going on in the trenches. Take advantage of the technology available and allow for more flexible work schedules across the company. For example, if 'summer hours" are being offered to all employees don't allow certain departments to exempt themselves from allowing it under the guise that they are too busy. With the excessive amounts of hours worked during peak times, such as month end, quarter end and year end, a 1/2 day off when things are quiet should not be an issue.
