I have been working at Tribune Media full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The flexibility of being able to work remote. Also working for such an Historical Company. I enjoyed working with many different people, collaborating with cross functional teams. The Managers and people were great.

    Cons

My Con was not being able to still work there due to the lay offs.

    Advice to Management

I enjoyed working with upper Management, keep striving to make Tribune the best it can be

    Pros

Quality work with high local profile.
    Good company name recognition.
Creative yet business environment with many talented professionals.
Diverse work and projects keep things fresh.

    Cons

Poor pay and little room for negotiation.
They underestimate the amount of work it takes to complete projects which results in many over worked and over stressed employees.
Too much time spent on CYA work makes doing the actual job difficult.

    Advice to Management

Needs a middle-senior management overhaul to fix the environment. Too many people are scared to lose their jobs and looking over their shoulder, rather than focus on doing a quality job.

    Pros

It is exciting to work for the company that produces some of the the number one regional newspapers and owns one of the number one superstations.

    Cons

Tribune has gone through major readjustments and continues to go through them as they try to increase revenue and decrease expenses to manage their debt.

    Advice to Management

I would like to see Tribune find a way to invest in their talented staff and make them feel valued and appreciated.
