    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Tricon Geophysics full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Management cares about the employees. You're not just a number. You get to work on lots of different projects with minimum oversight (no micromanagement). I've had many different roles over the years and it's been exciting to always be learning new things.

    Cons

Employees who need a lot of structure might not do well here. There's no official "advancement process". If you want to do something different from what you are doing you will need to read up on it on your own time.

    Advice to Management

Overall well managed (compared to other places I've worked). Better communication between the offices would be a good thing.

    Pros

    Positive atmosphere.
Room to grow since it's a small company.
    Flexible management.
Corporate office is right off 16th street mall - so lots of places within walking distance to go for lunch.
Management is supportive of new ideas to help company grow.

    Cons

Not a lot of feedback in terms of what you're doing right or wrong.

    Advice to Management

    Doing fine

    Pros

    -Good atmosphere
    -relaxed, small company.
-All work is individual but if help is needed it is easily accessible.

    Cons

-sometimes big projects come in and there aren't enough people to work on them
-there was one very mean boss

    Advice to Management

I think Tricon is being run well.

I have been working at Tricon Geophysics full-time

    Pros

Company culture is very relaxed. Everyone is very nice to work with. The pay is competitive. You're given plenty of freedom. Big projects to work on. Management cares are the employees.

    Cons

No real help in terms of career progression. New ideas and processes struggle to become implemented. Organizational structure could be improved. Benefits aren't anything great.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the employees more. I understand that as a small business it's hard to spend capital on anything besides what allows the business to survive, but the employees could produce higher value/better quality products and services if they received more options to learn outside their specific job function.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Tricon Geophysics full-time

    Pros

Excellent environment, really good and understading bosses. I worked there for 11 years and this reflects how stable is the company in terms of working environment.

    Cons

No career planning, there is a total absence of human resource planning. Lack of communication between the high levels and mid management brings late and hasty decisions.

    Advice to Management

The company is excellent, I'm really grateful for all the experience and the opportunities granted. However needs to improve the corporate communication flow, also need to work in the administrative structure which practically doesn't exist ans could improve the company performance.

It's a good company, the majority of the issues come from the fact of a small company that grew very fast.
