I worked at Trident full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good investment in apprentices and the support they need. Good team work . New directors and MD are making a difference.

    Cons

A bit out of the way for public transport but there is always someone offering to help and car share in to work.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing the things you are doing. I have enjoyed every minute of my time at Trident .

I worked at Trident full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good understanding of health requirements both mentally and physically, reasonable working hours and relaxed attitude to working from home.

    Cons

The expectations set upon a worker is heaped in piles that build up over time. with a lack of management software and task allocation in use, it is easy for the management to overload the team with unfeasible amounts of work. The office contains senior members of staff who are bullish and sometimes even quite passionately aggressive when targets aren't met or when they feel you may be stepping on there toes. Advice to Management

In matters of disagreement and upset, you should have a hearing process in place that allows a member of the team to present evidence in confidence rather than just talking your way out of things and people siding with whoever they chose to believe. (a choice that is almost always either the most senior member of staff or the person who has worked here the longest).

I have been working at Trident full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - 9am to 5pm work schedule (they touted themselves as one of the few companies in Singapore to have such working hours) - Great colleagues, makes working in the company a lot more bearable

    Cons

    - Remember the working hours I mentioned previously? The contract might have stated 9am to 5pm, but in truth the company enforces mandatory unpaid overtime. Such a company policy was not mentioned at any point of my interview, nor was it mentioned in the contract. - We are expected to add the aforementioned overtime into our weekly schedule. I have seen colleagues being spoken harshly to by our supervisors for not...

    Advice to Management

    - Respect what is signed in the contract. We are aware of 'tricks' you try to pull when working hours or salary is concerned. Words spread fast within the office, and sooner or later, out of the office. - When almost everyone is fuming about the long working hours, it is time to sit up and pay attention. Not everyone can put in long hours over several weeks, and months even, and still function with full efficiency...

I have been working at Trident full-time

    Pros

Good office culture, casual dress code and start time. Small team that allows for you to feel critical and needed as an employee.

    Cons

The small teams culture does sometimes put pressure on a employee to deliver the impossible, and can become frustrating at times. But this is to be expected in most places that use this strategy.

    Advice to Management

Listen more to your employees before shuffling things about and be sure to make all members of a team feel involved in decision making.

    I worked at Trident full-time

    Pros

The benefits are good. They supply food, good financial rewards and run regular events to engage the staff. Many staff are committed and a relaxed atmosphere for some departments. It is a little like high school-if your face fits and you are popular you will have a great day.

    Cons

If your face fits (and this will not be dependant on your skills) you will be fine. But beware, the management are cliquey, awkward and are masters at nasty manipulation. They stab staff in the back whilst sweetly smiling to their face. There is a horrible culture of bullying by management. Their HR Department, as others have mentioned here, is truly dreadful. Never raise a complaint as you will find yourself out on your...
