I have been working at Trinity Consultants full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Learn a lot of leadership and project management skills very quickly. Flexible schedule. Can remote work. Lots of resources provided.

    Cons

High billing rates to clients mean you are working as fast as you can at all times. Lots of hours

    Advice to Management

Lower the utilization goals for lower consultants so you don't burn them out or have them recent you. Take more time to give detailed instruction. Stop raising your already high billing rates.

I have been working at Trinity Consultants full-time

    Pros

Lots to learn.. fast paced, and generally friendly atmosphere among peers. it is true that experience gained in a year at Trinity is worth three times the experience gained at a competitor, during the same amount of time.

    Cons

Occasional uncertainty in schedules, long hours from time to time based on client needs, different supervisors have different approaches on how tasks should be done. PTO (goes without saying) is an issue.

    Advice to Management

Require better differentials in evaluations/ expectations for larger offices vs smaller offices. More frequent reviews for senior management, especially in cases where the supervisor is at a different location.

I have been working at Trinity Consultants

    Pros

Lots to learn in the beginning. The work is challenging, and makes you work competitively with your peers. Great place to start your career.

    Cons

Promotions are like far-off land if you are working in the Chicago office! It takes longer for people to move up the ladder in this office compared to other Trinity offices. Hard work in not appreciated a bit. Overall I would not recommend anyone to work in this office. Management needs to change definitely if the office wants to retain good talent.

    Advice to Management

Please consider Grade 56 consultants as humans as well (not machines), and promote the deserving candidates irrespective of the number of Grade 57 positions held in the office.

I have been working at Trinity Consultants

    Pros

Trinity is a good place to learn environmental consulting. You work hard for the first few years, learn a lot, and have a good support group.

    Cons

You are expected to work many hours and PTO is enough for the first few years of employment. Career advancement is limited to employees flexibility to relocated.

    Advice to Management

Management should work on making employees feel appreciated. It is taken for granted that consultants will stay with the company rather than look for jobs elsewere...thus leading to employee retention problems.
