I have been working at Trinity Estates Property Management Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great head office atmosphere, very friendly bunch. Could have a good laugh while getting your work done. HQ are clearly busy at the moment setting up new company benefits and techy upgrades, which is always a plus. The Property Manager and HR have always been very supportive and quick to assist with issues.

    Cons

Site based roles can be a bit on the quiet side with very little to keep the brain busy.

    Advice to Management

Property Managers could visit sites for inspections and 121's more frequently.

    Pros

Growing business with good owners that has previously put training of employees at the heart of the business. Some well intentioned staff who care about the business and the customer.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations of senior management team and constant changes have led to high turnover of staff and general poor morale. Training has been abandoned with a lack of HR guidance. ‘Token’ values put in place and a feeling that Directors want to make the company look and sound good but fail to stick to principles themselves. New customer facing staff are not supported adequately.

    Advice to Management

Invest in training, HR, better salaries of current staff and you will get more buy-in from staff who now feel abandoned. Surely retention of staff is important?

    Pros

    * The social life is excellent. The in house social committee really work to get all team members involved in the planned activities.
    * The upper management and board are all approachable. Their office doors are open if and when you need to talk to them, regardless of your status within the company.
    * Job security.
    * Support for internal progression and industry accredited qualifications.

    Cons

    * There can be a disconnect between departments when rolling out new ideas or initiatives. Input should be sought from all involved before being implemented.
    * Disconnect between senior management and frontline staff on pressures of customer facing role.
    * Too much reliance on specific contractors.
    * The industry itself is a thankless one.

    Advice to Management

Take on board the comments of your staff. They are the ones who deal with your clients and customers and provide the best source of information you have.
