I have been working at Tripp Lite

    Pros

Great benefits, growth opportunities, no-hassle office policies, fun social events

    Cons

Poor integration of activities, policies and motivation to make inter-departmental interactions more meaningful and productive

    Advice to Management

Evaluate how departments interact and impose meaningful updates to policies that will make each more responsive to the needs of the next

I have been working at Tripp Lite full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The work culture at Tripp Lite is casual, but totally about business. Everyone seems to enjoy their departmental responsibilities and excel at them. Tripp Lite offers opportunities to grow within the company in many ways. Another good option is free parking! The Fooda pop-up restaurant options are great, especially for those taking the bus or train to work. I mean, who can turn down free coffee?!

    Cons

It doesn't have a true telecommute option, but not many companies do. Some departments may take longer to grow in a position than others. More feedback is needed. Training, mentoring, and leadership can improve to really help its employees to grow within their positions. Compensation may vary from what you may expect from that position versus the market.

    Advice to Management

Continue what you are doing to make Tripp Lite what it is today and what you want it to be in the future. Put more emphasis in getting the best from employees, which will increase productivity and success in every way.

I have been working at Tripp Lite for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great people! Annual company picnic and Holiday party. Profit sharing bonus and year end bonus. Bring your kids to work day, Thanksgiving lunch, Tripp Life internal healthy lifestyle committee that creates events/activities to keep everyone active and healthy. Free shuttle bus from downtown train stations.

    Cons

Maximum of three weeks vacation no matter how long you have been at the company with no opportunity to purchase or have an additional week.

    Advice to Management

Some managers seem to be more flexible when it comes to schedules and if the company wants to encourage/promote more flexibility it should be stressed company wide and be more consistent.

I have been working at Tripp Lite

    Pros

    Great benefits, and work environment.

    Cons

Some management teams create new procedures instead of correct current issues.

    Advice to Management

A little more accountability. Sometimes management is slow to fix current problems.

I have been working at Tripp Lite full-time

    Pros

The best thing to work at Tripp Lite is how management takes care of their employees, how my co-workers work as a team (QA), and the environment.

    Cons

No specific downsides about our company. I have no issues or concerns for now.

I have been working at Tripp Lite full-time

    Pros

-Great benefits and perks -Growing company -Privately owned so it's not "corporate" mentality - almost startup like -Casual dress code

    Cons

-Lack of department development/expansion: While Tripp Lite advertises continuous growth, rightfully so, there hasn't been much hiring to account for this growth. Perhaps the success of the company has been that it has kept departments smaller? Some departments consist of 3 people only while there are also others that are 10+ so there are larger departments but for the growth that's advertised there hasn't been much expansion...

    Advice to Management

-While the perks of bi-weekly beer Fridays (can often be hit or miss though), department outings, Thanksgiving lunch, Christmas concert are great, it would be nice to see the company adapt different perks like more vacation days, extended paternal leave, occasional remote work days, or even summer hours. -Updating work spaces: The desks are outdated and some are falling apart (some are super glued or taped because...

I have been working at Tripp Lite

    Pros

A good work life balance culture. Open door policy on communication where everyone is approachable and decisions can be made quickly. Credible products and reputation in the marketplace. Very tenured employee base which is a favorable reflection of the company. Strong feeling of community in the workplace.

    Cons

The sales commission plan needs and overhaul. It penalizes as well as rewards. Business units are siloes which creates negative competition internally. Archaic thinking toward flex schedules, "work at home" policies.

    Advice to Management

Couple of tweaks internally and this would be a 5 star employer
