    Pros

French Canadian company with some great clothes! Great discount, 40% off.

    Cons

Only get a 30 minute break unpaid when working 8 hours. Pay isn't fantastic, usually minimum wage for key holders, not too many ways to climb the ladder of the company in Ontario (head office is in Montreal).

    Pros

    Good team spirit!
    Positive working environment.

    Cons

A little bit disorganized - often calling last minute to work the same day.

I have been working at Tristan full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are okay, work was easy. Supportive of individual needs such as having to take time off to study for exams. Company culture was fun, the company wide best sales list kept people on their toes but was all for fun. The commission can get very good if you put some effort in.

    Cons

Could get stressful sometimes with work spikes.

I worked at Tristan full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - If you're amazing at selling, there is some additional commission pay.
    - Up to 20% of the merchandise is made in Canada.
    - Head office is very hands on and makes visits to stores.
    - Family business.

    Cons

    - The DM would promise promotions to employees that weren't feasible.
    - High pressure from DM during store visits.
    - No stock associates/cashiers at smaller locations.
    - Not well marketed outside of Quebec, therefore difficult to reach sales goals.

    Advice to Management

Show a better attitude to your sales associates and key holders (less condescending, more respect). Get a new DM for the Toronto division.

I worked at Tristan part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I did learn transferable skills in customer service that I can use in the future. I also learned how to work with many different types of people. I also learned some management and loss prevention tips while working there.

    Cons

The company itself doesn't do much for their employees. Rewards for big sales and good sales weeks went unnoticed in small locations. If you work in a big location, that's the only time you are recognized. Very restricted in their vacation scheduling as well and staffing as my manager "never had hours" in the 3.5 years I worked there. And very little opportunity to move up in company.

    Advice to Management

Acknowledge your employees more and respect in the store will improve.

    Pros

great people to work with, high end and very respected clientele.
Working on commission was okay, however the pay could be better.

    Cons

    the pay
there is no chance to move up in the company which is not good.
    lack of communication with staff

    Advice to Management

they need to reward employees for there hard work and promote the people that should be insted of hiring from outside

    Advice to Management
