    Pros

    Very friendly employees. Large company

    Cons

No structure toward intern development. No emphasis was placed on educational or professional development.

    Advice to Management

Simply create a structured program that occasionally engages the intern in different training or other activities in order introduce different aspects of the aerospace industry.

    Pros

The team in Redmond has some of the best of the best as far as engineers. Innovation is the name of the game making it a cool place to work. Benefits are pretty good.

    Cons

Unless you live on the eastside or up north, Redmond isn't the best place to commute to.

I worked at Triumph Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay was good and the sense of accomplishment was there.

    Cons

Company doesn't communicate down the chain of command well and does not put emphasis on training or development. They view everyone at the site level as replaceable and show no loyalty to the individual. HR will lie and contradict what other leaders say.

    Advice to Management

Start putting an emphasis on employee development and put some younger, non- Baby Boomers into leadership roles. Stop with the old way of thinking that work is life and the more time you spend at the work the better you are.

    Pros

Excellent benefits with paid time off and holiday pay. Opportunities to learn different parts of cabin interior maintainance. The manager Candi is the only good part about the management team.

    Cons

Day to day operations are poorly managed on all levels. Lack of communication between management and shop floor. Bad workers are left alone while burden of work load put onto the better workers.

    Advice to Management

The only way the company will improve and actually stay open is if all the management team do their part.

    Pros

Good pay and flexibility. No ACCOUNTABILITY Ice cream Fridays. Nice people.

    Cons

No ACCOUNTABILITY yet management wants to be predictably profitable. No training or mentorship. Forget your talent or skills because it's not recognized.

    Advice to Management

Hold people accountable and invest in training

I worked at Triumph Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The facility in Redmond, WA, was started as a research and development and qualification testing site. That included challenging projects and interesting engineering work. Some of that remains.

    Cons

Corporate support and priorities for R&D ebbed and flowed. On site management was good until 2016. New corporate leadership is not supportive.

    Advice to Management

Don't treat R&D and qualification programs with the same metrics as production facilities.

    Pros

Great coworkers who (for the most part) wants what is best for the company and work hard as a team. Most members of senior leadership are approachable and actually make you feel like they are listening/genuinely care about your concerns.

    Cons

Improving the company and employee relations has taken a back seat to other issues for far too long. New corporate directions have taken over most divisions time and resources leaving little room for day to day responsibilities. Long; LONG hours and weekends have become the norm for many departments with no end in sight. With the sale of our piece of Triumph Group, morale is at an all time low with high anxiety for what the future holds.

    Advice to Management

Remember that your employees are people too with families and a life outside of the job. Work to fix the internal issues once and for all rather than finding a temporary solution; even if finding the right solution takes longer. Learn what it really takes to do the jobs of each department to better understand their day to day struggle and frustrations. Work harder to make sure you don't burn out your all-star team members.

    Pros

Some of the people really want to work hard and it really shows in their work. The teams work together

    Cons

Management doesn't hold people accountable. The expectations don't always meet the outcome from an employees point of view. Some people here are only here for a paycheck.

    Advice to Management

    Hold people accountable
