I have been working at Trofholz Technologies, Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Understanding Management
Review process leads to personal growth
Willing to work with individual scheduling needs, great work/life balance
Lots of opportunites for training and strengthening of skills

    Cons

Economy created difficult business situation they are still recovering from
Since it is a small company, there are not many opportunities to advance

    Advice to Management

My advice would be as expected for any management of any company- consider benefits and promotions to keep talented staff. Also, recognition of dedicated workers helps to drive employees and keep them motivated.

I worked at Trofholz Technologies, Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Veteran disabled woman owned company

    Cons

Lack of Leadership, clique mentality, poor communication from leadership on down, condescending behavior, aggressive attitude in negative situations by certain employees.

    Advice to Management

Needs hands on cohesive leadership. Company has plenty of management but no leaders. May want to look into the aggressive attitude by long timed employees.

    Pros

A great position to apply your knowledge and skills if the customer management doesn't expect the impossible every 15 minutes.

    Cons

Toxic management at both company and customer site. Micromanagement at its finest. COO has a terrible attitude and demeanor for his position. If you make a mistake, your on your own. Customer site management expects the impossible to be done and applies constant pressure to make sure it is. Projects cannot be completed due to unrealistic timelines, unnecessary stress/pressure, which results in a high rate of employee resignations/terminations. Small issues are the end of the world and taking a break is heresy. Family business structure can work with you or against you.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Discuss issues with them like a human being. Iron out issues with customer site management. Pave the road with realistic goals/timelines and provide all the tools necessary to be successful. Be happy for them if they move on to greener pastures. Not everyone stays with a company forever.

    Pros

Solid corporate structure. Good liaisons with the company.

    Cons

Lowest bidder, will treat you like you should be grateful to them. Micromanagement to a unnecessary degree. Generally treated as completely replaceable.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees that aren't at the corporate office like they are assets to your company and not liabilities that are a necessary evil.

    Pros

There are none...they low bid the contract, then expect anyone that is in that position they win to take a hit on their salary or push them out.

    Cons

you work for a company that does not care about you since you are not in Rocklin...you get screwed on salary/hourly wage to make sure they get a profit off of your hard work and sweat.

    Advice to Management

stop being greedy and pay your field IT people what they are worth.

    Pros

Small company with direct access to upper management and owners. Your skills are put to the test as the company does a wide variety of work so you're constantly challenged and learning. Recently graduated from their Government 8(a) status and doing well at adjusting to focusing on commercial markets. Owners and management care about the staff and their accomplishments.

    Cons

Working for a Government contractor during an economic slow period can be challenging.

    Advice to Management

Stay on track in looking for those special people that have the right combination of qualities to be successful at Trofholz.

    Pros

Working for three years now and only Pro is it is a JOB.

    Cons

Husband has horrible attitude towards employees. Calls out staff in meetings, bad mouths those that leave. Business Practices are questionable at best. Non-existant work life balance. Managers expect you to be at their beck and call every minute of the day. CEO has no compassion for corporate staff. Employees are pawns.

    Advice to Management

If you are a work-a-holic because your personal life is bad, that is not everyone else's fault.
