I have been working at Tronex International full-time

    Pros

Working here you really get to see what goes into making an international supply chain work. Nothing in my experience before has taught me as much and as quickly as what I have gained at Tronex.

    Cons

With some of the fast pace growth that seems to be happening everywhere, sometimes procedures and processes are not quite as clear as where I have worked before. While sometimes unclear, this is a great opportunity to do something with the chance of making a lasting impact on the work flow if an idea gets traction.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing and guiding the company up through growth. The employees that are ambitious are here to help.

I worked at Tronex International full-time

    Pros

The only pros of working here were getting to know some of the nicer employees. There are only a handful of them, but if you plan to work here, befriending them is the only way you're going to maintain your sanity.

    Cons

The management that runs this company honestly operates with the most rigid and inflexible mindset. You are not allowed to have your phone out at all except during your lunch break, let alone do anything that's not work-related on the computer. People gave me looks for checking my personal email briefly to ensure I'd paid my bills on time and they actively monitor your online activity. You are also expected to be in and out of the office at specific times and not a minute later.

Every day is the same repetitive meaningless grind where you complete tasks that generate more money for the three people who run the company and gain very little in the way of compensation and career development. If I were you, I'd search for alternative opportunities unless you really need to put food on the table and resort to this place.

There are people who have worked here for years and I cannot fathom how they've done it without losing their minds. Life is so much more than sitting in front of a computer looking at spreadsheets all day or making the same cold calls over and over again to sell boxes of gloves.

    Advice to Management

Stop enforcing a rigid workplace culture and environment. Let employees live, we have lives outside of work. Why enforce a no phone policy and force people to be at their desks working or pretending to work for 7.5 hours a day? This kills productivity. The world's greatest companies have the most casual workplaces and are able to maximize productivity and employee satisfaction. Employees are not pawns, give them a reason to perform and try their best every day apart from mindlessly selling gloves to put more money into your pockets.

    Pros

Get to see a lot of real world drama and be part of it. Bring your tape recorder and watch out what you said, what you wrote. They are going after you! Very exciting if you like playing game while working. A lot of opportunities to get you fired.

    Cons

Guest and boss will be using the bathroom in the front office, if you are the employee please go to the bathroom in the warehouse. Be careful walking in the warehouse and follow the line if you don't want to get killed.

I have been working at Tronex International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

. . . if you ever hoped for taking 20 years off your life. A slow, tortuous death is easier than dealing with these narcissists!! The boorish, bullying, arrogant, blame-laying, credit-grabbing monsters will haunt your days and nights.

    Cons

Some employees are good - but happen to be stuck in a horrible place. It's difficult to watch others suffer if you happen to be off the radar at the moment. Do not trust anyone!!! DOL should investigate unethical business practices on many levels, shut them down and save human lives!

    Advice to Management

Do random drug-testing!! The only way to survive is to be heavily medicated - more than you're aware!! YOU are "dangers to the company!"

    Pros

An air of respect and candid discussions of goals, obstacles. Opportunity to think strategically and self-direct. Family company.

    Cons

Lack of process onboarding. Lack of organization hierarchy.

    Advice to Management

Really smart people work here. Let them shine. Give them a bit more slack on time off.

I have been working at Tronex International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You can feel smarter than most if you took a basic English Language course in school.

If you are wearing something that is thought to be "cheap" you will get a chance to be taken on a shopping spree!

    Cons

You can be told that you can't speak proper English by somebody who uses "........" after every 2 words in a "professional" email.

    Advice to Management

Worry about your own work rather than finding the faults in others. You waste so much of your time trying to beat down your own staff that nothing gets accomplished.

I worked at Tronex International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Office Culture is Asian with respect the main concern. Employees are respectful to each other thru the guidance of leadership. Small company mentality with big ideas, but no vision on how to execute.

    Cons

Office Culture is Asian with respect the main concern, but little to no respect for Employees. Great coworkers, but everyone is fearful. No trust in the employees or their abilities. Warehouse is disorganized and has questionable safety issues. No break room or area to eat lunch. Vacation is discouraged and non flex time makes it difficult for working parents. Human Resources is nonexistent only grievances are to Senior Management which are the problem.
Small niche company feeling the growing pains. In order to achieve next level need to make aggressive changes are stay small.

    Advice to Management

Hire an consulting firm to reorganize the structure and to investigate warehouse safety. As the company expands they need to invest in better systems and infrastructure. They have small problems, but if they decide to grow these problems with become explosive. Management lack of communication about future plans and direction leave employees confused and uncertain about Tronex.

I worked at Tronex International full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I don't know that there are any Pros.

    Cons

Expectations from management are vague at best. There is next to zero direction with high expectations. There is a certain element of fear the employees have of management. This is by design. The culture is very negative and driven by how the company is perceived by the world outside. The company has very high turnover and is not concerned by it.

    Advice to Management

Take some classes on effective leadership.

Get experience working in an Asian business culture

    Cons

Management were made by default through growth of company, lack leadership skills. Very disrespectful and egotistical owners, break down employee's confidence, undermine ability, and test patience and temperament to maintain control.

    Advice to Management

Give clear and decisive instructions and trust things will get done correctly, reward by not undermining ability and intelligence. Don't believe that a management titles fool subordinates into believing leaderships skills are present or effective in any way.

    Pros

The top management are always open to listening about any concerns and no one is too busy to listen. The environment is conducive to productivity and the employees are above average in skills and competency yet are not cocky. There is no micromanaging and individuals are able to be as creative as they would like and explore new opportunities and concepts that might not have been seen by management.

    Cons

The pace of work is extremely fast and some people might not be able to keep up. There is a high demand for excellence and precision which can be stressful. Do not work here if you are not interested in a long term career.

    Advice to Management

I wholeheartedly support the way Tronex leadership runs "the ship" and believe they care about their employees more than the average employers would. They go out of their way to see how you're doing outside of work and actually get to know who you are. Yes, a company exists where the President treats every employee including warehouse staff equally.
