    Pros

Tronex is a great place for those seeking to grow in a long-term position. For 30 years Tronex has shown continuous and steady growth and this is really a testament to the employees that work here. Majority of the employees here wear two or even three hats, which allows the company to run effectively and efficiently year after year. If you are self-motivated and willing to put in the work with the goal of... improving and adding value each day, this is a great place to work. Your achievements will be recognized and upper management is more than willing to invest in training courses to help get you to that next level. In addition, everyone here is very friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. If you are looking for a short term position or opt to do the bare minimum just to get by, this place will not be a good fit for you. However, if you continually put in the work and strive to be better each your efforts will be recognized and rewarded. Again, the company size and growth is attributed to the great employees we have working here. Most companies of this size would probably have a few hundred. We have less than 80.

Continue adapting your business model as you've done for 30 successful years. You must be doing something right.

I worked at Tronex International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    None, there really isn’t any!

    Cons

Kindly note, hours are 9 to 5:30 but don’t think you can show up at 9 or leave at 5:30 it’s frowned upon, if you want people to start earlier and stay later you should adjust your hours of operations don’t expect your staff to just stay because you think that they should put in more hours. Upper management walks around like a dictator, managers of some departments will through you under a bus so that they are not... under a microscope, they have an old fashion way of thinking and so are their processes to fill orders, there are a lot of forms to submit its ridiculous. If you get a very big account expect that with in months for it to become a house account so they won’t have to pay you commission anymore, you will be told about how you dress how you wear your hair and make up and even your shoes, HR is useless because everything that is confidential is not and HR won’t step up and tell upper management that it’s against the law to say the things they say instead HR will run to upper management with all of your business and they laugh at you. This is a horrible place to work for and if you do work here you deserve what you get, with all of the bad reviews and low rating score be aware, and yes they do make bets on how long you will last because they know how horrible this place is to work but I guess that entertainment for them. Best Regards.

I worked at Tronex International full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

1 hour break for lunch. That's about it. Healthcare is not bad.

    Cons

Constantly monitored kind of big brother style. There is no privacy whatsoever. They have cameras for "employee safety" but it feels like they use them to monitor employee interactions with each other. Paid time off is not great. Few major holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, NYE. Less than 10 days total. Minimal vacation days. 2 weeks to start. You earn more PTO if you are with the company for more than 5... years. No sick days. 3 personal days only after your first year. Management stunts growth and does not promote teamwork. The senior managers all fit a certain mold that is not conducive to promotion of regular employees. Sales group has a confusing leadership structure. Seems like managers do not know what they are doing half the time. Need to constantly defend yourself. Once you walk in the door, they will attempt to tear you down and rebuild you their way. Does not matter if you are a 10 year industry professional, you know absolutely nothing compared to them. Does not matter if you have 3 doctorates, they know more than you in your field. Compensation appears to be well below industry standards. Sales team has commission based incentives that are decided on whims with some that are not very reasonable. Expect to be online 24/7. If leadership emails you during off hours, they expect a reply. And quickly!

    Advice to Management

Change your mindset. Employees can help you grow the company. They are not out to burn the company to the ground. Progress is good. Archaic methods need to go. Take some advice once in a while.

    Pros

You get to go home every day. Most weekends you do not have to work.

    Cons

Since they lose employees every day, you have to wear many, MANY hats. The problem with this is when those employees leave, the ones wearing many hats, upper management start running around in panic like headless chickens. This company is a complete mess. Very dirty place, you can barely touch anything without getting all dirty. Do not even go to the warehouse, if you touch anything there you will have to go home... to take a shower. The vents on top of our heads blow dust all day, just look at it, all black and disgusting. There is no place to eat lunch, they have tables in the warehouse but they are all covered with dust. Extremely depressing place to work.

    Pros

Leadership (in title only, not in experience or real leadership ability) excels at playing mind games and toying with employees. You may be their favorite employee for a few weeks or months, but things change fast and you could find yourself receiving a non-stop verbal and mental beatdown. Because almost a lot of employees are working in the same conditions, a sincere camaraderie exists and you can all commiserate... together. But not camaraderie for all. Some sell their souls by repeating every bit of conversation they hear to owners, whether personal info or random statements. Being a snitch pays off here and helps reduce severity of beatings. Do yourself a favor and figure out who to trust before getting too close to anyone. Once company-wide lunch hour arrives, 99% of people leave their desks to escape the office. You need this time to decompress and evaulate some life choices that lead you to this company. The things you witness here will provide hours of entertainment when you retell the stories to friends and family. Sadly, most people will assume you're severely exaggerating because what company operates like this? Oh, Tronex does.

    Cons

Culture of fear Unless you're related to one of the owners of the company, you'll likely be abused both to your face and behind your back to other employees. The majority of respectable companies who receive negative online reviews will try to address and improve upon whatever valid complaint was thrown at them. This company's response when learning of sites like Glassdoor where all but one employee provided... negative reviews? Hold hours of meetings, appoint someone to try to have negative reviews removed under any grounds possible, and then ask other employees to post positive reviews to raise overall rating. So you see those positive reviews for this company? All manufactured. It's no coincidence that there are a few 5 star reviews published soon after 1 star reviews are submitted. This company only cares about how their clients see them and couldn't care less about their employees. Majority of senior management doesn't know how to manage or even how to perform their jobs; they're only in those roles because they're related to an owner, very close friends with the owner, or have been with the company an oddly long time. I've seen this company hire a lot of very talented and experienced people, but they don't last. Either the people realize this company is a complete joke and they get out asap (even if they don't have another job lined up), or they're fired because they had the audacity to suggest something different that might help the company be more efficient or perform better. This company doesn't want to change, and any suggestion to do things differently is an insult they don't take lightly or forget.

I have been working at Tronex International full-time

    Pros

Walking out the door at 5:30pm every day not a second earlier.

    Cons

Where do I start? If you still accept the offer after reading all these reviews, don't even dare to complain. Working hours are 9-5:30. Absolutely no flex time or summer hours and kindly note, if you are a minute after 9:00 you will have to sign in like high school. NO work from home days. Almost every holiday and snow storm you will be there ! Owners are completely out of touch with the real world. If you... like to feel like you are a prisoner in jail, please be my guest and take this job. Also, make sure you go ahead and buy yourself a new suit jacket as it is business formal every day. Everyone here will backstab you the second you walk in the door since they are so brainwashed and miserable 8 hours a day. HR is a complete joke and just as worse as the rest of them. They will lie just so you accept the job since they can literally not hire anyone at the moment. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I promise working at McDonalds would be more enjoyable.

    Cons

Can be stressful at times as company is growing rapidly so must prioritize work & be flexible to change quickly as Customer needs evolve.

    Advice to Management

Overall very knowledgeable of the business, supportive and caring. Can improve on developing a more structured environment but is improving in this area.

    Pros

You have a sick Fish Tank...completely useless, but it looks sick I guess for some people. Hey, some people sold land for colored beads. People gets excited with different things, I guess.

    Cons

    - Managers start with 2 weeks vacation, same as entry level positions. - The have like 3 holidays. Black Friday? OPEN, Friday after Christmas? OPEN. Hurricane Sandy? OPEN...and you better come to work or you get fired. - Heavy Snow days? Let's wait until there is a dangerous amount of snow in the street, now they send everyone home. - Owners talk in riddles and metaphors, with Unicorns, Dolphins and Spartans.... Most of the time you won't know what is going on. - You are obligated to work 24/7 if you are a Manager or more. - You MUST send reports of what you are doing every week. - If you get sick and you are female, start looking for another job. - Old computers, if you request a laptop to work mobile, they will tell you to share it with everyone in your team, pathetic! - NO KITCHEN or place to eat! (Pretty darn modern AF) - Security Cameras over your head checking what you are doing. - They record all incoming calls without alerting callers.
