    Pros

I worked at Palmilla Beach Golf Club in Port Aransas, Tx. After The management was taken over by Troon Golf, things really improved. The management really cares, stays involved, and is friendly to all employees.

    Cons

Not much room for advancement. A little strict on employee rules, but overall a great management company to work for.

I worked at Troon Golf (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Troon offers great benefits, but they don't come cheap.

    Cons

Corporate could care less if you have an excellent, long-standing relationship with Troon. They give no priority with job transfers at all, however, yet they claim to do so. They are happy managing clubs from afar, but when an issue arises, they storm in with guns blazing before actually speaking with anyone to resolve any issues. No balls either when it comes to standing up to rude, unreasonable guests who treat staff like loser lowlifes.

    Advice to Management

Stand up for your team always!!

I have been working at Troon Golf full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

When it is all said and done this company knows how to manage golf clubs both public and private.

    Cons

Happen to work with one of the worst GM's in the company so it does bring down scores a bit...

    Advice to Management

Corporate training is too vague. Need to be more property specific. Too many places doing things way too different and best practices not shared or taught.
