I worked at Tropical Smoothie Cafe full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    You get a free mug

    Cons

You only get half off of food or drinks even while working. You have to pay $1 to use their cups. You don't get breaks. You can't eat. You stand the whole shift with 8 hour shift while running back and forth desperately trying to keep everything stocked. Only employees who are under 18 get a break because, it's the law. The tips are decided by the owner for who gets them. You get tips once a month. They give more tip money to their favorites. If you call off sick for a day they take your next day off and force you to work it. If you put in your two weeks they'll fire you. It doesn't matter if you're their best worker. They don't care about their employees. It's constantly busy.
Some crew members will try to make you do stuff that their manager told them to do.
If you work here prepared to get walked all over by the employees and management.

    Advice to Management

I was really looking forward to this job but, I'm incredibly disappointed in how terribly the employees are treated. What these employees have to deal with on a daily basis. Give your team a break! They deserve a break for how hard they're working. I worked 8- 9 hour shifts here and it made me hate my life. Don't let that happen to your other employees. I will never work for tropical smoothie again and will continue to tell everyone not to work with this company.

-work was more fun than exhausting, went by fast
    -customizable schedule
-manager and coworkers were very friendly

    Cons

-not necessarily a con, granted it is a fast food job, but pay was kinda low.
-difficult when it's really busy (lots of pressure)

    Advice to Management

    USE FRESH INGREDIENTS

I worked at Tropical Smoothie Cafe full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's healthy and alot of friendly people

    Cons

If you ever have visible cuts, or if your teeth aren't pretty or if you talk to country you could be terminated and told that your not a good fit for their brand.

    Advice to Management

You might want to check into the real reason why some are fired. This is the United States and we are allowed to smoke if we wish. I would never cause the restaurant any bad I would never let your customers see me smoke.ni think it was wrong for you to fire me I did a good job I was even told I did. And you fired me because I'm too country? Because I don't have any top teeth because I have an infection in my eyes and my hand is messed up?;really? Go back to running a gas station because you can't just treat anyone the way u do

I have been working at Tropical Smoothie Cafe part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I have nice co-workers . I can walk to work. I have been eating a bunch better. It would be a nice beginner's job. I have been working there because I quit my office job.

    Cons

My boss has been stressed out lately so he hasn't been the easiest to work with. He is normally awesome. I only make 7.50, and I am the shift leader. I'm sure it's different store to store. I only get discounted food instead of free. I have made food all day for the store, and then I couldn't afford to eat. That really sucks.

    Advice to Management

    Free food and better pay!
