I have been working at Tropicana Casino And Resort full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

can be promoted for hard work

    Cons

very low pay and raises went from 3% to 1% - insurance cost way to much money for everyone - you would think the casino's would get a policy combined with the thousands of employees cheep and help the employees - only upper management makes money.

    Advice to Management

appreciate the hard workers with more of a raise than someone who just gets by - raises should be based on individual evaluation, and not a 1% for a great employee - get us affordable health coverage please

I worked at Tropicana Casino And Resort full-time

    Pros

Everything, like most jobs, was as good as the people you worked with, and the majority of the evening staff worked well together. Pay was fine, occasional employee morale programs were fun.

    Cons

There were far too many 'bosses' with overlapping jurisdictions who would constantly give conflicting information. There was also clear favoritism wherein some employees were paid much more and were allowed to continually explicitly violate the employee handbook without repercussion.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be clear division of labor and fairness in order to maintain a high morale, especially in the hospitality industry.
