I have been working at TruGreen full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people doing the work are good people. The intent of most people is good and they work very hard.

    Cons

Leadership is ridiculously incompetent. The Sr. Level leadership is very out of touch. The people want progress; wake up and help them

    Advice to Management

Looks like there's a brighter future on the horizon now that the dead weight has been let go and the corrupt and inexperienced CHRO has finally been demoted. Smart move David Alexander.

I have been working at TruGreen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Nice office
    Decent pay
    Ok benefits

    Cons

Pays ok, but has you doing too many other jobs besides your job title!
Treats hourly associates like crap, only executive/salary employees get perks and treated like they matter to the company
    Horrible management
HR policies designed to screw over employees
HR department is corrupt and unethical (mishandling complaints)
Benefits are ok; but bot great
No bonuses for hourly full-time associates
Environment is uncomfortable and awkward - not a family or fun, everyone is very self absorbed
Core values are a joke - safety is one of them, yet they keep the office open during a snow storm and either force employees to endanger their lives trying to come to work or use their own PTO if they can't come in!

    Advice to Management

Do your job and stop delegating ALL of your work to your employees so you can be MIA a majority of the work day

    Pros

Lots of work to be done.

    Cons

Too many priority 1 projects, not enough resources, budget and completion date are locked based on estimates and cannot be revised without catching hell, IT budgeting, tracking and internal reporting very time consuming.

    Advice to Management

Prioritize. Plan and budget more carefully

    Pros

The company has made huge progress this year. While it doesn't always live up to it's values it is coming closer every day and the values are real. The teamwork between departments and between the field and corporate teams has improved dramatically. Customer ratings and retention have improved dramatically. When things are not done in an honorable way appropriate action is taken.

    Cons

While we are a lot better. we still have a ways to go. 2014 was a turnaround year in which we laid a foundation to build one in 2015.

    Advice to Management

As you may have guessed, I am management and I read what our folks have to say on glassdoor and other sites.

I have been working at TruGreen full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It is extremely easy to get up and come to work in the morning, knowing - every day, without exception, TruGreen embraces and promotes values and behaviors in the workplace that can be summed up in the Golden Rule: treat others as you would like to be treated. The leadership truly cares about its most valuable asset, the employees.

    Cons

Cons only exist when people are afraid to speak up about an issue with the leadership. TruGreen promotes and appreciates honest feedback and leadership takes action to resolve any areas of concern.

    Advice to Management

Stay consistent with and continue promoting and embracing TruGreen Values. Our customers can detect when employees that value the company the they work for and are more likely to use our service as a result.
