I made at least three times more money when I started. You'll only make money if your the managers friend. Being told by management to break the law everyday when you work in an area that has strict soliciting laws. Also not getting proper permits to solicite. Come work for Trugreen if you like being harassed by residents and the police for going door to door. Working 50 plus hours a week. Not having time to spend with family. Expect to work holidays. You definitely will work 6 days a week. Management treats you like your 5 years old. Do not expect to be happy with this job.

The pros of working at TruGreen was that the management at the office level was great. The employees at the branch level was great.Base was satisfactory.

The upper management have no idea what they are doing. They run the sales force poorly. Extemely low commission compensation. Weekly goal instead of a monthly goal. Not very innovative when it came to sales tactics. Company not knowing what direction it is going in. Unstable work place.

I been at Trugreen for over 20 years lots of changes but it is a growing company the work environment is good. I like they way it is an open door policy to express our feelings. The training has grown to be much better for new employees.

The compensation would like to see better. Like to see more fun activities at work.

Door to door sales is awful and people hate D2D salesman. You will be yelled at, threatened, disrespected, etc. by homeowners daily. You will be put in the uncomfortable position of soliciting neighborhoods that have “No soliciting” signs posted everywhere. Oh, and the cops will be called on you all the time. Be prepared for long hours, 6 day work weeks, and an awful commission structure that doesn’t even pay out until you hit a threshold. We were told to write positive reviews about TruGreen online even though we weren’t customers- very weird for a corporation to ask their employees to lie. That should tell you quite a bit about upper management and the way TruGreen treats its customers. And lastly, when you go to upper management with your concerns you will get a canned corporate response just like the TruGreen HR person replying to these reviews on Glassdoor. They don’t care about their lower level employees in my opinion.

Awesome family environment, you get really close with the people out there grinding with you. The base pay is nice when you have a bad week. Also they actually listen to employees with yearly meetings

The hours suck not alo t of home life Also the expectation of sales is a lot for most people. If you do very well consistently instead of say I mg hey good job the expect you to carry the weight of the people slacking. Turn over is very high with trugreen they need to see people as people and not a number on a board
