I have been working at True Partners Consulting full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great talent . bright consultants. Very good at putting together solutions and identifying new issues for the clients.

    Cons

Need more formal sales / marketing efforts and internal systems to help market and add to client base around the country not just in back yards.

    Advice to Management

Invest in marketing and sales expertise so all areas can benefit and grow not just select practices.

I have been working at True Partners Consulting full-time

    Pros

The main pro is that staff and seniors get paid overtime. This is good not only because of the extra pay, but you do not have to work crazy hours unless you are actually doing productive work. TPC is very flexible with its work life balance, and I rarely feel overwhelmed here. Management is very open and helpful. There are many fun and informative events and training throughout the year.

    Cons

The hours can sometimes be long during busy season, but that is to be expected anywhere in tax. Talking to other tax professionals, the hours here are not nearly as bad as some other places.

    Advice to Management

Continue to foster growth internally and keep up the current culture.

I have been working at True Partners Consulting full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They pay overtime and have good benefits. They are very hands on in terms of training and actually shut down for a week for training.

    Cons

If you don't like long hours, this isn't the place for you. You may be stressed and if you're not good with dealing with stress then you might find it difficult.

    Advice to Management

    They're great and inviting.

I have been working at True Partners Consulting (More than a year)

    Pros

Overtime pay, managers are accessible and are willing to take time out even during busy season to guide and explain, great place to start off your career because you gain a lot of technical skills in a variety of areas rather than specializing in one type of client work.

    Cons

long hours but people in the group are understanding of work/life balance so often times will try to work around everyone's schedule as long as it meets the deadline. need more training especially for first year staff.

    Advice to Management

be more transparent with quarterly updates for each of the offices.

I have been working at True Partners Consulting full-time

    Pros

I have worked at TPC for several years, and it's a really enjoyable place to work. Most people in the firm are more than willing to guide you on projects and want to see you succeed. TPC offers overtime pay for staff and seniors which I find really incentivizing when working late hours during busy seasons.

If you are looking for something other than the Big 4 accounting firms (like I was), this might be a great alternative. The client base is similar, but the work environment is more personal. In fact, most of my friends from college who had the best grades in our accounting class and worked at Big 4 firms left within a year or two.

Many employees participate in developing and running TPC-hosted programs (the internship program, student leader programs, etc.), and TPC is pretty receptive to new ideas from all levels. If you are someone who isn't interested in contributing to the office culture outside of working, this probably isn't the right place for you.

    Cons

Some personalities in the office are difficult to work with (I'd be surprised to find a workplace that didn't have this). Also, TPC provides general training on each of the tax disciplines, but I feel like employees have to seek out advanced training opportunities on their own.

    Advice to Management

Stay loyal to employees who have spent a long time at the company and have not left to see if the grass is greener elsewhere. Continue recruiting individuals with positive attitudes (and good work ethics) who want to contribute to TPC's unique culture.
