    Pros

I worked in a positive, cohesive work environment. There we're many opportunities to learn about new retail products while working aside others who provides excellent customer service.

    Cons

There are limited opportunities for advancement due to the nature of my store location being independently owner and operated.

    Advice to Management

Keep providing your staff with new opportunities to learn skills across many departments. This helps to employees interested in their jobs.

I worked at True Value part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very flexible scheduling. Every store is individually owned and operated offering a very personal experience with co-workers all living in the same area that the store is located. Great for a small, part-time job.

    Cons

No advancement beyond out lasting current employees and no set wage increases. A very dead-end attitude around the place.

    Advice to Management

Figure out some incentives to get new employees to stay. Less turnover results in a more cohesive team as well as less time spent on training.
