I have been working at Truly Nolen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love this company. They treat their people right and care about their employees. The training process is well detailed and a lot of fun. Unlimited earnings... the more I sell, the more I make. Love it!

    Cons

I don't see any cons to working here. Everything is in place for my success.

    Advice to Management

I wish I could bottle up the passion of the management and sell it. Perhaps, call the fragrance, "Passion". They provided me with all the training, tools and support to make me successful. Keep up the good work!

I have been working at Truly Nolen full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Bagel Friday, assistance from peers, somewhat consistent hours, overtime available, generally friendly people. I have a very mixed review on Truly Nolen. Some days I feel like quitting and other days I feel like everything is going smooth. It almost feels like an abusive relationship.

    Cons

Lack of communication is a big issue here. Whether it be with appointments that aren't scheduled properly or information that's not clear, there's definitely an issue with communication. Team leaders always tell you they are available to ask questions, but are NEVER at their desks. They all huddle in a single office and talk and laugh. They do provide cell phones and are willing to help sometimes, but mostly get upset and want to push the call on someone else. You're made to feel as if you are doing something wrong by asking for help. Managers and administration can be very rude when you call them as well, if you can reach them.

The customer support center can be a high stress job when escalation calls come in. No one wants to own up to providing service, even when you try as hard as you possibly can.

After a call is taken you typically have 3 minutes after to wrap up that call, but when busy you can be pushed into calls while still working on an account. This can cause a lot of trouble and confusion, when you're trying to schedule an appointment while also reaching out to managers and so forth.

In summary, you can be the hardest worker with the highest integrity and greatest work ethic, but there's little chance to be noticed or feel as if you're doing everything right.

    Advice to Management

Be hardworking, you're employees want to see good work ethic. Motivation is key.

    Pros

Lunch once a month during branch meetings.
Small Office and good people to work with.

    Cons

Office politics- you will be fired if someone doesn't like you, low overall office maturity level similar to a high school, utilizing an old and overly modified system to do business that goes down more than it works, low pay that is not competitive for the duties performed, low morale. The Core Values are also hollow at best, they exist simply to make people think that the company is at least somewhat decent.

    Advice to Management

Eliminate the politics, stop letting high school level arguments escalate, and do things the way that Truly did it. If he could see how this office is being run, he'd come out of his home and start firing people left and right.

    Pros

Stable employment, good hours 8 to 5, location is quiet don't really come face to face with customers,

    Cons

One coworker that's been there for 30 something years , will run your life hell, she's probably the worse person to work with, can't really work in peace because you feel like you always have to watch your back with her around...management doesn't have good leadership skills,

    Advice to Management

Needs to show more positive leadership skills, learn how to respect and talk to your employee's in a respectable manner, stop showing favoritism

    Pros

Helping people in need can be very rewarding. Company vehicle is nice. Company also cares about the envirnoment and it's customers.

    Cons

Get ready to work 11-12 hour days, deal with nothing but headaches and problems, work Saturdays & get phone calls and emails all day long. Turnover is atrocious in all departments company wide. There is a long-running custom to check the company phone list which comes out monthly to see who is no longer working for the company. Many many termite customers were sold improper treatment and are forced to deal with an ever-lasting termite issue requiring constant ineffective liquid re-treatments when they should have been sold a fumigation. After years of frustration you will be forced to deal with the issue, and of course the person who sold it is no longer with the company because the turnover is so bad. There are tons of antiquated processes and equipment. Technician handheld computers constantly go down, the office computer program is 10 years behind today's capabilities, extremely slow and always going down. Vehicles/equipment are also constantly breaking down. Agreements are very confusing for customers and a constant issue. The company decides to change pay and pay structure every year and constantly changing customer pricing as well. The company is always changing direction with what they deem important. There is a flavor of the month or quarter and it will be the most important thing to focus on until the next thing comes along, then you won't even hear about what was important last month. Nothing is planned out in advance, its always last minute and fly by the seat of your pants mentality. District-wide meetings are planned 2 days in advance when all salespeople have set appointments with customers and all technicians are routed for the day. Rescheduling all appointments for the branch is a very unnecessary task and could be completely avoided with just a little planning. New services and agreements are rolled out prematurely and cause lots of complications. The company tries to implement new systems but they only further complicate an already dysfunctional environment. Updating simple bugs and issues on the website take forever to fix. Workload is unrealistic, every position is stretched out way too thin and everything suffers as a result. Most managers can't even devote the proper time to train new employees because the constant stream of interruptions and problems that arise daily. My recommendation is not to apply to any company in the industry unless you have experience and you know what you are getting yourself into. It will be a rude awakening.

I worked at Truly Nolen full-time

    Pros

Nothing really good i can say. Only thing that was a pro was actually working for truly nolen but the man is no longer able to manage the company so he has a bunch of people that think they are the best people in the world trying to take over.

    Cons

The top of the chain only cares about hiself and juicing his full of water muscles lol. These people are a joke. Trust me dont waste your time working here, unless you want to be treated like a kindergarten child.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring managers that are racist and you guys have totally ruined truly nolens hard work to build a good family company. Im sure one day he realize what u morons have done to his company. Stop working on your water muscles and work on building a company that actually cares about its employees.
