I have been working at Tryst full-time

    Pros

The people, the core values, the flexibility, the food, the ability to be in the community, and the workload (at times).

    Cons

Every growing company goes through growing pains. Things can be a little scatter-brained at times because of this.

  2. "Cool Place"

    I worked at Tryst part-time

    Pros

Awesome coworkers and lots of cool regulars. I liked hanging out more than I liked working there though.

    Cons

Managers are more bossy than helpful, starting on the counter sucked.

    Positive Outlook

    I worked at Tryst part-time

    Pros

flexible schedule, great atmosphere and coworkers, fun customers and a good chance to learn about the service industry. great benefits if you are a manager.

    Cons

can be slow, like any restaurant job your income is dependent on volume. had a bit of an identity crisis while I was there but seems to have found its face again.

    Advice to Management

take tables, listen to customers, work all shifts. respect the staff. don't try to make it something it's not.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Tryst full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very fun, cool environment. A lot of flexibility and freedom. Chance to learn as much as you want about the food service industry...hourly/tipped employees and floor managers are great jobs--the politics come as you climb the ladder.

    Cons

Kind of a "good ol' boy" mentality--have to be one of the inner circle (not necessarily achieved by hard work and effort). Upper management/owners don't know about what's really going on in their specific locations. Not enough training and/or clear delineation of job responsibilities/what's expected of you.

    Advice to Management

Be present (physically and mentally) before making decisions about store policy and employees
