May 2, 2023 - Software Engineer in Mountain View, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Focus on collaborative problem solving, innovation, and interesting challenges involving the largest social media platforms and APIs. Huge career growth opportunities.
Cons
Now PE backed, not much financial upside (other than decent salary) for engineers. Need to grow headcount.

Pros
There was a positive friendly culture
Cons
too much work put on a single person

Pros
The culture of the company is great. A lot of the engineers have been there for at least 4 years. This speaks to the good culture and challenging problems that engineers experience at Tubular which keeps them here for a long time.
Cons
It would be great if there were more engineers so that the product could continue to be built out more quickly. I never feel overworked because we don't have more engineers, but I do wish we did have more so that the product development moved along faster.

Negative Work Environment
Nov 16, 2022 - Anonymous Employee in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Nothing at all. So happy I left with others when we all decided this was not a healthy environment.
Cons
Technically, the platform is very outdated. You work on a product that doesn't really work well and none of the users trust the data coming from platform. They end up using other platforms for more reliable data so if you like hearing frustrations from very influential customers then this punching bag role is for you. So before clients churn you are forced to use competitors products to create reports that the client could have done on their own. I got sick of hacking together reports and reselling data from other platforms as Tubular data.
Continue readingDear reviewer, We try to learn from all the feedback we receive, but this review does not appear to be factual or made in good faith. Your review talks about Rob Gabel as our CEO. Rob hasn't been Tubular's CEO since 2020. From the early days, we dedicated a lot of time and hard work to building an inclusive, transparent, and ethical culture for our employees, partners, and customers. Year over year, our engagement scores increased, culminating in winning recognition as one of the top employers in the industry. You can't be a leading employer in tech if you believe and act like you "own" your employees. On the off chance this is a legitimate review, we are sorry you didn't have a positive experience and hope you'll find a better fit.

Pros
Remote Global teams Set your own schedule Cross functional roles Wellness reimbursement Fun activities
Cons
Pay could’ve been better to keep up with rising costs of living Slightly unorganized Upper management says they want inclusivity but still operates like a "Boys Club".. Not much direction given very much expects you to "Own" the role in other words be your own back up + support No bonuses

Innovative media tech startup with massive talent and excellent workplace culture
Apr 19, 2022 - Product Management in Mountain View, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Healthy work culture and totally respectful environment Top notch CEO and management team Caring and invested HR leadership Incredibly talented and collaborative engineering team Innovative company solving unique and interesting problems in media Flexible PTO and work hours, lack of top-down management Health insurance covered 100% Wellness allowances and dedication to healthy work/life balance
Cons
As with any startup, resources are low, but they make up for it with rigorous hiring practices, getting in both experienced leaders from Silicon Valley as well as ICs with high growth potential. You'll wear many hats and and have to figure out how to work both independently and collaboratively to solve problems, pressure is on to continually grow the business Some turnover, but not more than other companies post-pandemic

Pros
Truly people-first, this company makes sure to treat its people well in the ways that matter-- compensation, respect, work/life balance. The products are also great which certainly helps. I've never been more proud to work at a company.
Cons
Lots of turnover in some teams, too many systems/tools to use which can get messy

Pros
I have been in the advertising business for 20+ years. I can honestly say that Tubular has one of the best cultures I have ever seen. No matter what your position is, they want you to succeed. I started consulting for Tubular a few months ago and in a very short amount of time, I knew I wanted to be a part of this company. The energy is real. I have been incredibly impressed with how helpful and welcoming everyone has been. I have also been incredibly impressed with how many resources the company subscribes to. This company wants to attract the best talent and then keep those people very happy. I can't say enough in the short time I have been here how great it's been. This company has built a culture to succeed!
Cons
I don't have any negatives to report. In a virtual working world, I would like to be seeing the people I work with face to face more often. I'm sure that will happen in the future as Covid subsides.

Honest, Realistic, No Surprises. LOVE IT!
Jan 14, 2022 - Senior Analyst, RevOps in San Diego, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
In my experience, companies tend to sugarcoat the company/culture and make it seem like a great place but once you're there you find out the day-to-day doesn't match what was mentioned in the interview process. That's not the case at Tubular Labs. Everyone I spoke with during my interview process was very transparent, honest, and gave me a realistic picture of what my day-to-day would be like. Now after a week of being here, I have not been negatively surprised by anything since the interviewers were honest and I am LOVING IT. Everything good/bad/neutral they mentioned about the company and/or culture during the interview process was 100% TRUE. No lying for recruitment. This was one of the warmest welcomes I have ever had from a company and the onboarding process has been smooth and easy. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Cons
I really can't think of any cons. This company has gone over and beyond to make sure employees are taken care of.
