I worked at Tudor Investment Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very relaxed atmosphere. Gym onsite in Greenwich. Nice modern office in New York and London. Mostly nice people while the company still had its footing.

    Cons

So relaxed that the company is failing. Too much focus on back/middle office for improving the company instead of alpha generation.

I have been working at Tudor Investment Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay and large offices in Greenwich.

    Cons

Tudor has become the prototype for an overpriced under-performing hedge fund. The working environment has devolved into dysfunction, and the future is quite bleak. Formerly a stable firm, employees have recently been resigning, laid off, and leaving the firm after only a few months in droves. Clients have lost trust in the firm and nearly all outside capital has been redeemed. The culture has been reverting back to an 80's style old boy's club of traders, but unlike the 80's the firm is no longer profitable. Open harassment, doublespeak, deception, and unethical behavior are now common. No longer a serious place; avoid at all costs.

    Advice to Management

To PTJ: it is time for a major reorganization of middle and senior management. Internal politics and incompetence mostly at management levels are the main reason Tudor has lost almost all its AUM. Put an end to the cronyism, nepotism, and favoritism. Hire some people that actually know what they are doing and perhaps you may get a glimpse of the good old days again.
