I have been working at Tudor Investment Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay and large offices in Greenwich.

    Cons

Tudor has become the prototype for an overpriced under-performing hedge fund. The working environment has devolved into dysfunction, and the future is quite bleak. Formerly a stable firm, employees have recently been resigning, laid off, and leaving the firm after only a few months in droves. Clients have lost trust in the firm and nearly all outside capital has been redeemed. The culture has been reverting back to an 80's style old boy's club of traders, but unlike the 80's the firm is no longer profitable. Open harassment, doublespeak, deception, and unethical behavior are now common. No longer a serious place; avoid at all costs.

    Advice to Management

To PTJ: it is time for a major reorganization of middle and senior management. Internal politics and incompetence mostly at management levels are the main reason Tudor has lost almost all its AUM. Put an end to the cronyism, nepotism, and favoritism. Hire some people that actually know what they are doing and perhaps you may get a glimpse of the good old days again.

I worked at Tudor Investment Corporation (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great overall intern program - provides lunch and learns, time with supervisors in other departments (those with and without interns), activities for interns, and great HR support. Awesome work environment - everyone is friendly but still works hard. Paul Tudor Jones meets the interns and provides advice and good food.

    Cons

After leaving, HR was very difficult to stay in contact with. Responses to emails would come weeks later or not at all.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be more of a relationship between HR and former interns - managers keep in touch, but don't have the power to look through potebtial job openings and find a good fit.

I have been working at Tudor Investment Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

On the right team, you can contribute a lot, as many areas (quantitative development, risk, software, trader's assistants/middle office) are absurdly understaffed given the size and complexity of the funds. If you are self-motivated and reasonably smart, you will have the chance to learn a diverse array of skills. Work-life balance is very reasonable, and the accommodate working remotely.

    Cons

Culture is bifurcated between PMs/partners and everyone else. Compensation structure probably has something to do with this: Don't expect a "Wall Street bonus" if you are a regular employee. There are many fiefdoms with the company, and middle/upper managers must constantly fight to protect their borders. In many cases, group performance is determined by "the narrative" constructed by group head rather than reality.

    Pros

tudor was a great place to work- the people are incredibly helpful. The culture fosters a really great learning environment and there are many company wide events that are great for networking.

    Cons

The only concern that I have with Tudor is growth potential because the company is small and the roles are already defined.

    Advice to Management

Management could provide a little more guidance on certain projects. Additionally, there could be more communication between different departments. There are two offices in greenwich that are down the street and the people in each building rarely communicate
