I have been working at Tufts Medical Center full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, going home at the end of the workday

    Cons

Micromanaged, supervisors and up do not care about us. There should be no favoritism, if it applies to one it applies to all. Extremely negative, childish work environment. We are treated like kindergartners. Show your staff more appreciation and boost the morale and no making us pay $5.00 to wear jeans is not a perk. How about casual Fridays for free??!!

No pay for performance for doing more. Always asking to do 3 persons jobs but not willing to compensate.

No proper training in place but as soon as you mess up on an account they will throw you under the bus run you over, reverse, and run you over again.
The building and carpets are so old who knows what we are being exposed to.

The worst department I have worked in and I will NEVER refer anyone to work in this disgusting place.

    Advice to Management

Show appreciation to ALL staff. Pay us all more not just the ones protesting. It is expensive to live in Boston I'm sure Tufts can afford to give more than a 2% raise every three years. If all support staff ( UC, CCT, enviornmental etc) were to walk off the job what would happen to the hospital then? There are a lot of employees who feel like I do and its just a matter of time before we demand for change.

    Pros

able to learn, expand knowledge and network

    Cons

no room for promotion, unable to sometimes get a COLA raise. Merit increases are unheard of.

    Advice to Management

Pay your people and you will be rewarded.
