I worked at Tundra Restaurant Supply full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked for Tundra for 3 years and during that time, I really felt like I became part of an great family. The culture there is very special. Everyone, for the most part, has a huge heart and live to the values detailed by it's founder many years ago. The employees there give it all for the most important person, the customer. They work hard but also work with each other. The pace is very fast and goal orientated, If you don't subscribe to that, you may not like it. But that is what makes the place great. Also the love for dogs, community and the environment adds to the benefits. I left due to an out of state move but already miss the team.

    Cons

The company is private equity owned so there can be some intense days driving growth but everyone does work together in this entrepreneurial environment.

    Advice to Management

Keep focusing on the customer and don't EVER get too caught up in the private equity world.

I have been working at Tundra Restaurant Supply full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent office environment that also promotes work-life balance. Tons of grown and advancement possibilities. Management is approachable and open to suggestions and feedback. And also having the dogs in the office is a definite bonus!

    Cons

I have been very fortunate to experience many of the different positions at the company via shadowing during my on-boarding so it is hard to complain about anything....however....they could use a little more structured training specifically related to the computer system.

    Advice to Management

Keep working on career path advancement. With the anticipated growth and initiatives in place this coming year it would be a good idea to have people in the pipeline ready to go.

I have been working at Tundra Restaurant Supply full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I've enjoyed my time at Tundra. The people are extremely nice and my manager is flexible and supportive. The company has been growing a lot in the last two years, which might rattle some who have been with the company since the beginning. Tundra is making an effort to increase communication vertically and horizontally, as well as investing in new development tools, marketing and more. There are weekly product trainings conducted by the vendors (plus free breakfast) and the culture crew at Tundra plans a lot of fun events each month.

    Cons

The benefits are a bit lacking, particularly the amount of PTO we get and the inability to roll it over.

I worked at Tundra Restaurant Supply full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you like a place full of restaurant drop outs, millennials, pot smoking lazy people then this is the place for you.

    Cons

The place was a good place at one point... Once they loose their big customer, say bye bye to them
