I worked at Turbocare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

the Perris, CA office was a warm, friendly group to work with. Unfortunately they have re-structured and that office is now closed.

    Cons

Salary increases were minimal and sometimes non-existant

I have been working at Turbocare full-time

    Pros

you will probably hold a myriad of jobs and the company continues to restructure

    Cons

Constant change and restructuring without clearly defined roles or goals for the individual employee. There is a lot of discussion about vision, very little able actual execution

    Advice to Management

Fully develop the thought behind any changes you might roll out, and document them

I have been working at Turbocare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the seasoned employees are experts in their field. It is nice to have that experience and wisdom.

    Cons

Doesn't seem like personal growth and development is ever considered. Management focuses on the negatives. No matter how hard you work no one offers appreciation or gratitude. The culture seems to be one in which you can do 98 out of 100 things well but all they focus on is the 2 that you didn't do well. There doesn't seem to be any support network to help you improve those 2 things. This culture has become the norm in the past couple of years.

I have been working at Turbocare full-time

    Pros

Good pay, self directed work, good people, plenty of opportunities to improve the business.

    Cons

Lack of training. Communication from upper management to shop floor is pretty minimal. Surprise OT on the weekends.

    Advice to Management

Need to leave upper level management in place for a while to let their leadership plan develop. Management changes have occurred multiple times in the last year and more are in store. Need to communicate the good, the bad, and any company changes...don't leave the employees in the dark.

    Pros

Company has potential to be great. Sales are solid.

    Cons

    Mismanaged. Lacks direction and leadership.

    Pros

    Flexible hours
    job security
Good experience if interested in turbomachinery

    Cons

    No room for growth
Relying on aging contractors rather than training young new talent
    Zero Career growth visibility
    All shops/offices in awful locations
    Heavy Nepotism
    No room for innovation
    Low salary
20-25 year age gap between young and old

    Advice to Management

Begin investing more in the youth of the company. 50% of the company will be retiring within 5-10 years and there are not many young people willing to stick around.

    More visibility for career growth.

Overall, work environment not "youth friendly"

  10. "Redundant and No Career Growth"

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Workload is reasonable. Some of upper management is kind and understanding of a work/life balance. Industry is solid. TurboCare has a decent reputation in aftermarket services and repair of turbomachinery. Daily tasks are very redundant and tedious.

    Cons

Not rewarded for work financially or in any other form. No career growth. Not encouraged to come up with new ideas or improve systems. Good ole boy attitude. Young talent is not respected. Women are disrespected in the workplace.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your young talent, because they will leave if they are not recognized for their contributions. Offer growth and promotions to those who work hard. Everyone is NOT the same!
