I worked at Turn full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits. Work from home as needed. Work with some good people in a cool industry.

    Cons

There is a massive lack of accountability that grows progressively worse as it moves up the management tree.

The executives change direction every time the wind shifts without considering many of the pieces of the business that will be negatively impacted, and then are shocked when performance decreases.

Morale became worse and more toxic with each passing month of 2014. It was discussed at every all hands call. Nothing was ever done to address the issues. This was above and beyond the normal whiners who love to complain about everything.

    Advice to Management

It's time for Bill to go and for the board to bring someone in who can see the company for what it is--a broken down sports car that can still win the race if the right components and strategy are implemented.

I have been working at Turn full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing company culture with daily catered lunch, flexible vacation, gym reimbursement, beautiful offices, and organizational transparency. Some of the smartest people I've met at any tech company, from the assistants to the exec board. Pay is above market. Stock options included for a company that is growing very fast and destined for a successful and exciting exit.

    Cons

very lengthy and thorough interview process, which can also be viewed as a Pro

    Advice to Management

Even as the headcount of the company grows, continue to maintain the very high quality of new employees

I have been working at Turn full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

free lunch, commuter reimbursement that is all.

    Cons

Turn is a mess! No vision, poor technology and leadership and absolutely no culture. Constant change and churn through both individual contributors and leaders results in very poor culture and accountability. It's really a miserable place! Sales, engineering and product leadership are terrible- no clue how to lead teams or understanding of Turn's value prop. No one has any accountability and as such Turn has lost tons of business. I would steer clear away from this company!

    Advice to Management

    close shop!

    Pros

Great leadership and strong vision. TURN is one of the best places I have ever worked for. Senior management cares about the well being of their employees and rules by example not by fear. They have made the investment needed to have a best in class offering and are truly thought leaders in this evolving data driven marketing space.

    Cons

Rapid growth, lots of product offerings

I have been working at Turn full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are lots of opportunities to learn about business and technology. There is great product focus and prioritization that ensures that projects are always addressing client needs. Each team is very professional and include some of the best and brightest minds in the industry.

    Cons

Very fast paced work environment, there are always a lot of projects going on and sometimes it takes a little extra time to keep up and ensure that ends meet. The upside to this is that there is no shortage of teamwork and collaboration to ensure that this is not an overbearing problem.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work in maintaining cross-functional group focus

I worked at Turn full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overall great product, smart team and technology.
Free lunch, snacks and drinks in all offices.

    Cons

Culture: Needs work and has changed drastically since the earlier days. The US team seems to be much more motivated/excited compared to London. Sometimes when I walk into the office, it is drop dead silent...

Work/Life balance: Very difficult. There is too much work for each person to get done, at least successfully.

Growth opportunities/career progression: No matter how hard you work or what you have achieved for the company, this seems to boil down to if you are liked by your manager. Senior management does not accept "creative" or "out of the box" ideas to better the culture or increase efficiencies as a whole...if they do not agree with you. This could go against your future at Turn so watch what you say even if you think it will help the company!

Work ethic: The different teams here do not seem to really work together but quite independently. I have seen people take credit for other people's work which is unfair...does not seem some of the team members respect each other.

I have been working at Turn full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very organized and structured hiring process! Turn really makes sure that candidate and company fit together. The global reach of Turn is also a big plus for me as a Non-US employee! Great potential for International staff to grow together with the company, and work in different regions of the world. Everybody seems to be super smart and open to support new employees, which is a great corporate culture.

Complimentary lunch, snacks & sodas provided in all offices worldwide doesn't hurt either. ;-)

    Cons

    Cannot see any so far!

    Advice to Management

Continue what you do, and manage the hyper growth of Turn successful!
