I worked at Turnberry Associates full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    None worthy of mentioning.

    Cons

This company probably has one of the highest turnover rates in the nation. There is definitely a lot of nepotism and no professional treatment between co-workers and superiors as well. The executives operating the construction side of the business are unqualified to run it as one and will definitely aid in the downfall of this company.

    Advice to Management

There are a few good people left in this company but I would suggest that in order for this company to stay on track, it has to allow for the growth of employees and keep the people that put in the effort. This will reflect the poor performance that the company will experience in the future. Also please stay on the development side of things and refrain from construction.

Property has great potential with the right ownership or hotel management group
A unique hotel property with local history
Great staff at Michael Mina's Bourbon Steak overall
Golf courses & pools are excellent hotel amenities

Too many EC Members for a hotel property of its size
Lack of standard operating procedures across all departments
A dead end in career for those who come from a respectable hotel companies
Compensation and benefits are below average

    Advice to Management

Invest in human capital / Create your own hotelier culture & discontinue copying other cultures within the industry / Happy employees = Happy guests = Financials

    Pros

They care about employees development and you always have avenues to have your voice be heard. Upper management is visible even at properties not near the home office

    Cons

the hiring process takes a long time. It took almost a month for me to get hired but it was worth the wait. Some times employees are given too much tone to develop.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up I like working for you.
