I worked at Turner Broadcasting (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, family-oriented company, focused on people-first for positive work environments, and new Atlanta campus renovation breeding lots of creativity

    Cons

Slow promotions, needs to improve competitive salaries, focuses on sports & news more than entertainment networks, and expecting a merger soon which could mean more layoffs,

    Advice to Management

Keep open lines of communication with employees for a true work environment where individuals are able to be challenged and nurtured professionally

I have been working at Turner Broadcasting full-time

    Pros

Inclusive culture and work/life balance emphasized through various initiatives and overall environment from the top down. Smart, talented colleagues and positive team environments

    Cons

Communication is not always as clear and transparent as management would like to think. Internal promotions are available, but you need to own the conversation and potential for movement, it is easy to get stuck in your current position

    Advice to Management

Focus on management skills of everyone with direct reports and ensure there is middle management and leadership in place to foster team building and development beyond day to day responsibilities
