I worked at Tutor Perini for less than a year

    Pros

Nice people good pay Mostly chill The work isn’t super hard depending on the project you’re working on. It can be a little boring or the complete opposite depending on the day

    Cons

Condescending, no diversity. It was boring but also long hours if you’re on the field. The management’s not great but that’s not shocking given this is construction

    Advice to Management

Hire more women or non white engineers

Project Engineer in Las Vegas, NV
    Approves of CEO

    I worked at Tutor Perini

    Pros

Good learning environment for young engineers who want to work on complex projects. Modern software packages utilized, not micro managed.

    Cons

Long hours, lack of specialization, low advancement possibilities, poor feedback from management, poor compensation practices by HR, growth of organization outpaced ability of organizations company culture to adapt

    Advice to Management

Due to the rapid growth and decline of the Las Vegas market, it was difficult for PBC or any contractor to adjust to changing market conditions. Construction booms are always difficult to forecast, but if the opportunity presents itself again, training and retention employees at an early project phase should be emphasized.

I have been working at Tutor Perini

    Pros

Great Project, Once in a life time opportunity, Aggressive management. Gives all round experience in the field of construction. Great place to learn

    Cons

Long hours. Long hours. Long hours. I worked 12 -14 hour days almost for 6 months straight, including Saturdays. Sometimes it can be very tiring.

    Advice to Management

Provide more emphasis for balance of work and family for employees. Currently it seems like only those who are workaholics can survive in the intense and aggressive environment
