Good job for the experience working with children
Jan 11, 2022 - Infant Teacher in Colleyville, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I needed to get into a field that align with my educational journey so this job is a good fit. I absolutely adore the babies that I care for, my team has been very welcoming and the level of support and recognition from management has been great.
Cons
We are short staffed many days due to the high amount of call ins. Sometimes we have to do some shuffling to keep in ratio. Turnover is high. Pay isn’t terrible but I believe that it could be better for the work that we do.

- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
They were always good about letting you balance personal time and matters with work. Gave alot of info to use with in the school and class although much of it was not logical or usefull because it was comming from upper division managment that had either never been in a class room to start with or it was so long ago they forgot, what it was like. Offer childcare discounts to employees
Cons
Their benifits are horrible for such a large compamy Pay is low ( but that is childcare in general) they are to rigid on ideas and offer not much room for teacher flexablity/ creativity with in the class dont always support teachers when needed with children who are harder to deal with
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Staff and parents here are friendly. Working with the children is always a great experience
Cons
The only downfall is that the pay that you receive is not enough for all the work that you do.

Working with children. Getting to be part of their growing process and the loving parents.
Cons
As a director i have no work life balance at all. I work a 10 to 12 hour days. there is to much paper work or spreadsheets that we have to worry about instead of being in the classrooms or being there when staff needs us. At times the DM is not helpful at all. They can be very demanding knowing how busy it can get. and never willing to help out when help is needed. This company only cares about making money and what they can do to make it, they would care less about their Directors and their schools. And the pay is not all that great! :(

Pros
Some employees genuinely care about the children. Gave a lot of free rein to run the room how I wanted. Assistant director was very supportive and listened to criticism.
Cons
- Very low pay unless you can exploit a time when they are in a staffing crisis. - Virtually no room for upward mobility. - Employees call out sick all the time, but if you actually ask for the day off, expect a struggle. - Senior management is only concerned with checking off a sheet. My room way reviewed when we were on a field trip. How could they have evaluated my skills as teacher without any kids in the room? - Most of the employees are unenthusiastic and the care suffers for it. - Be prepared to have to stay late as it never seems like anyone can get scheduling done right. - The question, 'Are the kids having fun?' or 'Do the kids want to come back?' is never asked. - Presentation and following the guidelines is more important than actually caring for the kids. - Great place to work if you are okay with mediocre.

illegal breaking practices and lies
May 22, 2020 - Floater and Assistant Teacher in Baldwin, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
some of the children are sweet. nice to see them grow
Cons
you're promised raises you don't get you to stay they try to make you work through breaks without your consent they have high expectations of you but pay you minimum wage despite any degrees or experience. they treat breaks and workers rights as an option or privilege rather than a human right and act appalled if you expect to be treated like an respectable human being and asset to their company. advice to workers . if you're looking for a job while you're building yourself up just become a cashier . same pay less stress.

OK company but definitely needs some work...

Some opportunity for advancement within the company, Great job for someone who is starting off in the childcare field.
Cons
Pay is very low and the company as a whole is highly unorganized. The site that I am currently at is a disaster. The communication is non-existent, the staff are all unhappy, parents are unhappy and the kids are totally out of control. However, I visited another site about 20 miles away for comparison and it was night and day difference. I guess it depends what site you are at.
