The pay is good and the work is interesting. The company is growing fast, so there are a lot of opportunities.

    Cons

It is not a startup anymore. For some people that will be a problem.

    Advice to Management

    Good job, keep at it.

    Pros

-Freedom to work on what you want
-All the perks that you would expect from any tech company
    -Management believes and trusts you

    Cons

    -Hard work, long hours
-Not enough meeting rooms for the growing company
-Too many good looking people. Makes me look bad

    Advice to Management

Don't be bogged down by the media. Keep on doing what you're doing. Also, more fried chicken days for lunch would be swell.

I have been working at Twitter as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to work on an exciting project. You get to work in the heart of San Francisco. Great food, great people, good perks.

    Cons

No gym inside the office(though there's yoga and other classes, but still no gym). Though not a big company it's not a startup anymore.

    Pros

Smart people with great personalities that are knowledgable and passionate about the platform and company. Core values that are truly CORE to the business and operations.

    Cons

It's a growing company, so there will be constant changes and demands but you will always know WHY and HOW.

    Advice to Management

Continue to evolve career opportunities: for retention and employee growth and also for recruiting great, new talent.

I have been working at Twitter full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Small teams, ability to make lots of impact, ability to create new processes and have high interaction with Sr. Managers and Directors. Amazing office and it is great working downtown. Easy access to Muni, Bart, CalTrian, walking distance to Polk and Haye Valley restaurants and bars for after work. Twitter provides great free food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Cons

You have to wear multiple hats and pivot quickly. Some process/programs are unestablished so some things take a little work to get up and running.

I have been working at Twitter full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The perks are great (free beer on tap, free meals and snacks), the people are wonderful, and the work is exciting as heck.

I'm always happy to go into work, and happy to be at work. I'm surrounded by incredibly intelligent people, working on exciting technologies, solving interesting scaling problems that nobody else has dealt with, and learning new things every day.

    Cons

HQ is located in a very sketchy neighborhood (Civic Center / Tenderloin), and I've often walked past heroin addicts shooting up on the sidewalk. There's plenty of homeless and desperately poor folks, but I'm not harassed by them. It's a little depressing, but Twitter makes a strong effort to encourage its employees to help out the locals in some small way.

There is a certain amount of growing pains at Twitter, and some of us newer folks often ask ourselves "why did this get implemented this way", but that's common at any startup. Some of us from the big companies (Google, Yahoo, Facebook) know there's better ways to accomplish the same task, but that's why they hired us.

There is also a certain amount of groupthink at Twitter, but I don't think that's any different from any large corporation.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Continue to be humble and listen to your employees and you can't lose.
