    Pros

    Brand name, not many today.

    Cons

    Micromanage, redundant paperwork to address inventory management, sales process and many other dysfunctional systems. Telephone sales competes with external sales force in an unfair way.

    Advice to Management

    Fix stuff and let salespeople do what they were hired to do. Stop bs salesforce atrocity or fix.

    Pros

    Good pay and benefits. Lots of freedom and not micro managed. Company take home vehicle. Big company and name reputation.

    Cons

    Terrible management, no organization, no communication, very frustrating at times. Need to adapt or get left behind. High prices to customers

    Advice to Management

    Learn to listen and care about your employees as more than a number. Adapt to keep pace with other companies.

    Pros

    Maybe JCI will clean out the cob web covered ultra- right wing ancient management that use threats to motivate.

    Cons

    Good old (White) boys club.. Customers VERY dissatisfied because not enough team to perform projects on time. Cut throat managers.

    Retire

    the only good thing about was the food by the in house Cafeteria.

    the management team is clueless. Horrible company to work for.

    There really isn't a good reason to work for these people the company shoes favoritism to certain employees

    Cons

    This company sucks really no appreciation for their workers and the wom system sucks

    I worked at Tyco as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good motivation & training opportunities offered on a regular basis. Frequent corporate communications from top to low via town hall meetings to keep employees informed of how company's happenings.

    Cons

    Poor management and unable to manage and allocate the workload evenly and too many slags and lazy non production employees. Very inefficient and ineffective time management over month end close!

    Advice to Management

    Clean up those slags and let them go to make the team more productive and maintain a good balance of work and family !

    Good people around, share their knowledge
    Help others
    get paid for doing nothing
    flexible work hours

    Cons

    No company culture
    Treat employees as garbage hire and fire anytime, lay off employees every year based on favouritism
    no compensation/bonus
    no team building activities
    No growth opportunities

    Advice to Management

    Retain your employees train them and improve them instead of hiring and firing people

    Pros

    No support from local or upper management. Incompetent overpaid coworkers no accountability for many. Workload is put on the few competent workers without any additional compensation.

    Cons

    Too much pressure put on sales which puts great stress on field guys to make the impossible possible with no chance of success. Being at the bottom when the job fails as an installer you are the responsible one the accountable one.

    Advice to Management

    Try and listen to your guys in the field. Get feedback from the ones you can trust not the ones that are trying to manipulate things for themselves
