    Pros

    Brand name, not many today.

    Cons

Micromanage, redundant paperwork to address inventory management, sales process and many other dysfunctional systems. Telephone sales competes with external sales force in an unfair way.

    Advice to Management

Fix stuff and let salespeople do what they were hired to do. Stop bs salesforce atrocity or fix.

    Pros

Reasonable, Brand Leader, Budget Stringent but Realistic, Enjoyable culture, Recognition for Performance, Reasonable spans of controls for teams, tools to perform your role

    Cons

Very Segregated Field Operation for UK.. Should focus on more collaboration nationally to share best practice

    Advice to Management

Move away from the "American" way of the parent organisation, and modernise to rest of the field operations industry in UK

    Pros

No weekends. The people are great to work with but being micro managed is crazy. And some of the sr reps are paid 12-13 when they have been there for 10+ years. Benefits are excellent!

    Cons

Micro management. Not the same attendance opportunities as other departments o

I worked at Tyco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Tyco/Johnson controls is a massive company. My review is only based on my experience with Tyco Fire Protection Products Sunbury-on-Thames. I worked with excellent people in Sunbury. The environment is a bit relaxed for an R&D site.

    Cons

It was my first time to work for a fire industry company. As an engineer in a R&D department, I find that the product development pace is very slow. The system used for product data management is also extremely inefficient which slows engineering work. There are also plenty of administrative task given to engineers which in my opinion, engineers should spend most of their time designing products.

    Pros

+ Great for junior engineers looking to get experience in their field
    + Great team and people

    Cons

+ The industry is slow paced by it's nature, this is good or bad depending on the person. No fault of the company.
