I worked at Tyson Foods as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

innovative, diverse, offered continual learning programs

    Cons

fast-paced; hard working employees are overlooked

    Advice to Management

Don't overlook hardworking employees. I worked as a marketing intern in 2015. I loved my team that I worked with and was a hard worker. However, after a year and a half, my team hired the other intern and just kind of let me go. This was during the Hillshire acquisition, so they were letting a number of people go.

    Cons

Losing it's culture (in the best sense) via the acquisition of Hillshire & favoritism shown to Hillshire employees

    Advice to Management

Tyson legacy employees have been under-valued by the new Hillshire management, and this practice continues.
