Pros
The crew of hourly people are great but extremely mistreated by management
Cons
They witheld information until after I took the job. For instance, a 6 day work week was not explained to me. Absolutely toxic work environment all the way up the management chain, it is encouraged as a point of fact. There is no work life balance as we have been forced to work 85-90 hrs a week and continually threatened with our jobs.

Overall, the culture in the corporate offices is really positive compared to other companies their size that I have worked for. They have really worked to maintain work / life balance and want to retain their people.
Cons
Working in IT, there are still a lot of institutional barriers to overcome to modernize the company. Change is very slow and tend to be risk adverse when they should be playing catch up. A struggle to find opportunities to stand out and find promotions.

Stable Company Good Benifis Looks Great on Resume Good for Prior Military Company Store is a fringe benifit
Cons
Where Do I start Lack of continuity from top GPM and APM are scared for their jobs at all times so they are afraid to make decisions Lack of direction in the Management Development program New Supoervisors get switched around to new departments almost monthly (does not allow you to learn your job) Lots of window dressing/dog and pony shows Tyson 'prides' its self at a Christian Company but it is severly lacking in 'work life balance' for 8-9 months out of the year you will work 6 sometimes 7 days a week and they expect you to be there atleast 10-12 hours a day.
