    I worked at U-Haul part-time

    Pros

Great training for about 4-5 weeks. They really prepare you to start work. On going support and great leadership. Very flexible if you need time off or want extra time on - not going over part time hours though. You totally know what's expected of you so it makes things easier. Room for advancement or if you want to try other departments. I was able to work from home but had the opportunity to go into the office if I wanted to. I'm sorry I'm not there anymore - hoping to get rehired in the summer time. Low pay but bonuses for each rental and sale. Decent money.

    Cons

There really are no downsides to working there. It's all in all a great company who actually care for their employees.

    Advice to Management

    none

    I worked at U-Haul part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers, wonderful managers. Plenty of freedom and lots of activity to keep you busy.

    Cons

Customer base can be a bit upset at times. A corporate guy put it this way, "people don't like to move, even if it is for happy reasons. We give them a truck and say 'go do it yourself.' You have to empathize with that."

    I worked at U-Haul full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Truly good with work life balance The Company sponsored health benefits are awesome. super nice employees.

    Cons

Some areas are "stuck" in the past as far as thinking is concerned. If you have new ideas or suggestions they don't want to hear them. It is a my way or the highway management. Dictatorship leadership.

    Advice to Management

You can update the systems all you want, but unless the management style changes you will continue to have the same results in attracting new talent
