I worked at U.S. Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They recently increased the pay for front line employees, however didnt give any of the employees that have been working there for years an increase. So now people that are newly hired are making the same amount as people that have been there for years. Make sense? I think not.

    Cons

Technology is from the dark ages and the mgmt is not at all in touch with the retail consumers and what they want. There is not enough help to run the branches effectively and still meet all of the goals they put in place. Yes, there are sales goals... just like Wells Fargo US bank is doing the same crap. Number one source of income for most branches is overdraft fees. Literally anti-robin hood, stealing from the poor to give to the rich. Mgmt makes a fortune for doing nothing and not supporting the branches or even showing up to work most days. The buildings are in dis-repair with black mold being found, stuff thats been broken for months and months that never gets fixed. The roof in the building i worked at leaked in several places everytime it rained to the point where we had to have buckets scattered throughout the building to collect it. Unsafe work environment physically and mentally. Stay away!

    Advice to Management

Upgrade technology and support the branches. Get to know employees and what they need to be succesful. The annual Talk To Us Survey that is supposed to be anonymous is far from it, i know from personal experience. Cant wait for the governement to find out about all of this.
