I worked at U.S. Cellular full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great team atmosphere, very supportive BASM's. Young and very collaborative in nature. Major freedom.

    Cons

Major freedom, means that you need to know the services in order to do your job. They will not babysit you.

    Advice to Management

Provide a better on boarding program that helps executives learn how to do their jobs better.

I worked at U.S. Cellular full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

(Use to be) An amazing place to work

    Cons

-They're no better than any other "Over-the-phone" customer service job
-People who work there, especially in management are drinking a lot of "cool-aid" and they try to force it down other people's throats as well and if you aren't willing to accept that, you're more than likely going to be fired.
    - There's just as much backstabbing, favouritism and butt-kissing there as any other employer.

    Advice to Management

Get over yourselves. You like to put on this nice little front and try to come off like such a "great place to work" and you're all about having a "family feel" to the workplace with empathy and understanding. Laughable. I'm happy to see it's finally catching up to the place with people walking out left and right. It's no less than what you deserve.
You want advice? Get your crap together and start paying attention to what's really going on there.

I have been working at U.S. Cellular full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent pay and benefits for the area, amazing culture and opportunity for growth.

    Cons

Schedule, however this is always a con for a call center environment.

    Advice to Management

Senior leadership (Ceo level) needs to be more transparent with employees.

    I worked at U.S. Cellular part-time

    Cons

Goals are sometimes hard to achieve depending on location.

I have been working at U.S. Cellular full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good pay, benfits. Flexible schedule if you are liked. Vacation time is fare 3 weeks after 3 years. Max with 4 weeks after 10 years.

    Cons

The company says it believes in the dynamic organization. This is only when it fits in their process. The HR department only pushes this when it fits there process. They are very hard on senior employees when they want them out.
Once you hit a older age there is a unwritten push to get you out. All of sudden what you have done in the past which you had great ratings is no longer any good. They appear to want you out .

    Advice to Management

Treat all employees with respect. Do not discriminate based on age or health. Older people sometimes don't fit with younger managers.

I have been working at U.S. Cellular full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay, benefits and career building. Very lucrative commission pay scale and structure. Unlimited uncapped earning potential. I made over 65000 my first year with the company.

    Cons

Unfavorable scheduled hours, long days. Long nights. Unpredictable and inconsistent schedules. Holiday hours. They mostly hire leadership from outside and never promote within.

    Advice to Management

    Promote within, internally.
