    Pros

There are none that I can think of right now

    Cons

You are at the mercy of the corporate office who changes easy processes into ridiculously hard ones.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at U.S. Security Associates full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours but even those are only given to the senior security officers - by senior I mean the ones that are favored by the branch manager

    Cons

No promotional opportunities, bad leadership, and bad pay

    Advice to Management

Stop trying focus on your commission so much and start giving your officers and staff the respect they deserve. As well, stop rubbing into the staffs face how much commission you make when they are making only minimum wage.

I worked at U.S. Security Associates (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Meet new people and learn new skills about the security field. Taught how to be an effective Supervisor. Learned payroll procedures, and how to manage multiple employees.

    Cons

Communication with management is very poor. Some supervisors are very unprofessional. Complaining about such supervisors will go no where. As the supervisors are always right in the eyes of upper management.

    Advice to Management

Good company to work for. For the most part. Some supervisors are ok. Certain positions in upper management could be reevaluated.

I have been working at U.S. Security Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Easy, laid back, good coworkers.

    Cons

This company rigs it's schedule (the work week, how time sheets are completed) to get out of paying the appropriate amount of over time to their employees. I work full time (40 hours) plus 12 hour o/t shift on Sunday, and then an extra 2 hrs to cover someone else and it works out to 50 hours. Shady company, not recommended at all.

    Advice to Management

Don't be cheap, pay your employees appropriately. Remember, you get what you pay for.

I worked at U.S. Security Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Many sites throughout the I.E. If you go to school they work with your schedule depending on the site. Professional depending on the site.

    Cons

Lost several of my checks. Heavy with favoritism. Not a lot of work required from your supervisors. Not likely to grow with the company.

    Advice to Management

Please whoever is in charge of payroll fire them.

    Pros

None at this time period. Horrible company

    Cons

Horrible HR, you pay for everything, little to no support system, and out of all the security companies I have worked for this is the worst. As an example, they wil overload any overtime you have worked for the week onto that day in order to not pay you holiday pay.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at U.S. Security Associates full-time

    Pros

We were contracted for a large industrial plant. The plant contract was the only reason we were payed as high as we were. We were also required to be EMT responders or First Responders there. I have nothing positive to say about US Security

    Cons

Always messing up our pay. You had to double and triple check after holidays or over time because they routinely did not have it on your check. The hiring team had no knowledge of what the position required at the contracted site. I and many many new hires were lied to during the hiring process. Oh these positions and this pay will be available immediately, blah blah blah. That was not the case. There is no growth there. Or any actual benefits. No sick time, no vacation, health insurance for a single person was over estimated to be over half of EACH of my paychecks. Who knows if I had wanted coverage for my family.

    Advice to Management

Don't lie to new hires. That's why your turnover has been so bad the last two years.

I have been working at U.S. Security Associates full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Always something new to look at.

    Cons

    It's always Management vs. Employees.
Clients are always ridiculous and butting in.(The moment you slip just a lil bit ur gone). They want perfection(but will not invest in you).
    Not security.
Certificications and quals are not regarded or recognized.
Most importantly of all: All sites are maxed out.(Everyone who wants to move, can't.)

    Advice to Management

To client management: Let us do our job. Just because you have management training in college does not does not mean you have certifications in security, there is a difference. And let the Immediate supervisors do their job and let the clients recognize that their is an immediate supervisor. Just because an employee does not like a professional decision, does not mean that their isn't a chain of command.

To immediate supervisors: As long as u and management have a us vs. them mentality, you will fade us security out...to office staff as long as u remain oblivious to the fact that u r not perfect...u will always be much more susceptible to problems.
If u r maxed out, instead of just letting employees be where they dont want to be and sites that dont want them there...maybe partner with other companies to work towards providing ur guards opportunities instead of not doing nothing and pretending everything is ok.
Cuz it is my life mission right now to make my name and my skill more vocal and move elsewhere cuz the ends do not meet at this moment.
Also dont take back and make up a random reason when it comes to paychecks...this will garner no professional respect for you. If I offer a job for a 100 dollars, and then you perform it, then paytime comes after performing.....it is a good professional that says well it is only worth 50(pays 50). No, take professional accountability. Better let money matters be than to not have respect A deals a deal.

I worked at U.S. Security Associates full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people are great! Excellent work environment. Upper management tries to help build employees at times but needs to hire more from within to build employees moral.

    Cons

From the lack of employees the workload is very heavy. With more staff there will be equal share of work for each employee instead of more work than a employee can bare.

    Advice to Management

Build employees to strengthen employee retention.

I worked at U.S. Security Associates full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The only pro me are the PAY and the numerous job openings due to an extremely very high turnover rate.

    Cons

These folks think they are Cadets and Sergeants in the Army. If you're on a post and your relief doesn't show you can't leave. I worked at a location with crappy management. No solutions for work problems or anything like that.

    Advice to Management

When an employee is having an ongoing issue it should be addressed.
