I worked at U.S. Security Associates (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Very energetic, friendly, helpful staff.

    Cons

    Payroll area needs much help.

    Advice to Management

USSA is a great company to work for and I would not hesitate to work there again. Certain staff I would follow to any company to work with. I think there needs to be better communication between branch ops and field. I also think their needs to be some Organizational Leadership training in house.

I have been working at U.S. Security Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work all of the time, some overtime when needed.

    Cons

LOW PAY, Insane amount of stuff just to get hired on the process was way to hard and long for a just above Minimum wage job! Raises and Time off? What's that? treat people like slaves and talk down to them!

    Advice to Management

Increase the billing hours, and pay your guards more. You are asking a lot of them, and want them to represent the company with a glowing light. Then you should pay them accordingly, however you treat them like they are chain gang workers! This is not just a business for the contract, but you should treat your guards just as if they are as important as the contract they cover, to make the company glow! Also buy better equipment, your uniforms are one step above paper gowns at a doctor's office! Focus on the employers more than the management, they are not the people making you look good or making the company money. Also it is not the guards fault if there is not enough coverage during the holiday season stop with the freeze on time off request threw out the year. People have lives that don't revolve around the company.
