    Pros

Can be an easy job. Just need to pay attention during training, and get along with workers at site.

    Cons

Some sites offer $8 an hour, and requires consant vigilance while some offer $10 an hour and minimal observation. Get a good site, and ask if there are any openings in other sites if you do not like yours.

    Advice to Management

    Stay connected with site management.

I worked at U.S. Security Associates part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My personal managers at a couple sites were very nice , some of the clients were also great to work for.

    Cons

I am disabled and was frequently taken advantage of. At times schedulled 1st , 2nd, and 3rd shifts right in a row. I was sometimes worked over 50 hours , I was supposed to be part time. I was always picked for job sites no one else would work. I could go on...

    Advice to Management

Treat your emempoyees better. Don't discriminate against people with disabilities.

I worked at U.S. Security Associates (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Meet new people and learn new skills about the security field. Taught how to be an effective Supervisor. Learned payroll procedures, and how to manage multiple employees.

    Cons

Communication with management is very poor. Some supervisors are very unprofessional. Complaining about such supervisors will go no where. As the supervisors are always right in the eyes of upper management.

    Advice to Management

Good company to work for. For the most part. Some supervisors are ok. Certain positions in upper management could be reevaluated.

I worked at U.S. Security Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Many sites throughout the I.E. If you go to school they work with your schedule depending on the site. Professional depending on the site.

    Cons

Lost several of my checks. Heavy with favoritism. Not a lot of work required from your supervisors. Not likely to grow with the company.

    Advice to Management

Please whoever is in charge of payroll fire them.

I have been working at U.S. Security Associates full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Always something new to look at.

    Cons

    It's always Management vs. Employees.
Clients are always ridiculous and butting in.(The moment you slip just a lil bit ur gone). They want perfection(but will not invest in you).
    Not security.
Certificications and quals are not regarded or recognized.
Most importantly of all: All sites are maxed out.(Everyone who wants to move, can't.)

    Advice to Management

To client management: Let us do our job. Just because you have management training in college does not does not mean you have certifications in security, there is a difference. And let the Immediate supervisors do their job and let the clients recognize that their is an immediate supervisor. Just because an employee does not like a professional decision, does not mean that their isn't a chain of command.

To immediate supervisors: As long as u and management have a us vs. them mentality, you will fade us security out...to office staff as long as u remain oblivious to the fact that u r not perfect...u will always be much more susceptible to problems.
If u r maxed out, instead of just letting employees be where they dont want to be and sites that dont want them there...maybe partner with other companies to work towards providing ur guards opportunities instead of not doing nothing and pretending everything is ok.
Cuz it is my life mission right now to make my name and my skill more vocal and move elsewhere cuz the ends do not meet at this moment.
Also dont take back and make up a random reason when it comes to paychecks...this will garner no professional respect for you. If I offer a job for a 100 dollars, and then you perform it, then paytime comes after performing.....it is a good professional that says well it is only worth 50(pays 50). No, take professional accountability. Better let money matters be than to not have respect A deals a deal.
