I have been working at U.S. Security Associates full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Your working , but nothing better than that.

    Cons

Your paychecks will be short and messed with, your supervisors will lie to you they will also threaten you with your job , they will take your hours away if they are mad at you. They play favorites in the office and give OT to the employees they deem fit. They also will tell you that you will make 11-13 bucks an hour to start then place you at a site that pays minimum wage or slightly above it and never move you but promise that as soon as something opens up they will.

    Advice to Management

Go find a different job and shut down because there is too much to fix from the top to the bottom of this company. And corporate is a joke , you call them to help fix any problems you may be having from inside your office and you can fill out a report that'll never be looked at and if you happen to get ahold of someone in the HR department it'll be their voice mail and will take forever to get back. And after all that they won't be able to help you or they say they will and nothing will change.

I have been working at U.S. Security Associates part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    There are not any pros

    Cons

This company knows how to screw over their clientele and their employees. You deal with incompetent management at their offices. The employees at their sites are underpaid, underappreciated and upper management never knows what is going on spite being well informed by site supervisors. This company has no clue what it is doing. If you contract with this company you are just dishing out money and your assets are vulnerable.

I worked at U.S. Security Associates full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The guards I worked with were great, so is the client.

    Cons

They cant keep guards or contracts. They NEVER got me paid correctly or got my address correct in the system even after complaining multiple times. I had to go to the Utah Department of Labor multiple times and file a claim to get paid.
When I was issued my uniform, they did not have my size and I was given 1 pair of trousers that were 4 sizes too big, and when I protested, I was told, "Just synch up your belt and deal with it." REALLY!?! Tighten my belt? I had to go buy my own trousers. My co-workers are in the same situation, multiple trips to the State DOL to get back pay etc. They refuse to properly staff sites in a timely manner causing guard burn out and attrition and clients to end contracts.

    Advice to Management

Get your Salt Lake City office fixed quick. Make sure your guards are getting paid correctly AND on time. Make sure your guards do not have to go out and buy their own uniforms. I have worked for some really horrible employers and I have to say USSA has been the worst nightmare I have experienced.
