Will never win "Best Company to Work For" in any state. Unless you're a driver, you don't matter.

    Pros

Stable hours. That's it. No other pro's really since pay is poor and hours are long.

    Cons

Offer bonuses, then pull them without telling anyone. No raises, ever, for any reason. No incentives programs at all, except for a single $400 for the health program. No recognition for good work, but will jump on you quickly for slipping up. Unless you're a driver, you don't matter.

    Good dedicated accounts for rookies

    Pros

One nice thing is that if you don't like what you're doing as a driver there is likely something else that will work for you. I started on the dollar tree account out of Savannah Georgia; it was a lot of work hand unloading the trailer but good pay. I went OTR solo, that sucked. Teams probably earn most of the miles and loads with this company. After a few weeks OTR I made a quick phone call and that day I was given 5,000 dollars to relocate to Indiana to be on a dedicated Wal-Mart account, home daily, earning a base pay salary of 950 a week. Not bad for a first year rookie. ..Safety is big with this company, I recommend it to anyone starting out. Trucks are good and new, well maintained. I've heard they may have changed their idle policy but the temperature based idle policy was a huge downside and enough of a reason to not go back there.

    Cons

Idle policy. Solo OTR is not good.

    Pros

The Equipment is good and the pay.

    Cons

They fired me unfairly, though they claimed faitgue was a factor. The DOE disagreed and I was found not culpable in my dismissal.

    Pros

Competitive pay and Home times with many opportunities across the board from Dedicated to OTR. Working with managers who really care and understand you are significant and the driving force behind the company's success.

    Cons

On some dedicated accounts must be willing to unload however there are opportunities across the board from unloads and bumping docks.

    Pros

Upper management is extremely helpful and invested in making sure you have the knowledge and support to effectively do your job well. Pay/benefits are good and plenty of potential for career growth.

    Cons

Can be stressful at times but I think that will come with any job in all industries. Work/life balance sometimes leans more to the work side, but again, any job will have times where extra effort is needed to make sure all work gets completed for the better of the company.
