Semiconductors are a very highly cyclical and it makes for good years and bad years, in many cases you are dependent on the marketing budgets of the top 50 companies.

    Advice to Management

I hope the family feel remains. It makes for a wonderful place to work - and the teams work harder because they really do care about one another.

I have been working at UBM full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

UBM Tech has been a great company to work for and there has been a lot of opportunity to develop and grow. The culture is great, everyone works hard and has your back. UBM also encourages people to make a difference by volunteering and they match charitable donations.

    Cons

UBM transitioned in the last 7-10 years from a company that generated 70% of its revenue from print to no print in 2014. This has caused a lot of change, and required strong leadership, and sometimes unpopular decisions. That has been hard in general, but I feel management always handled the changes with compassion and thoughtfulness.

    Advice to Management

Keep looking ahead, the digital space is changing fast, we need to stay nimble and on top of it.
