I have been working at UBS as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

The work is interesting and the people are great. Good company social events and culture. Development opportunities are numerous. Relatively good working hours for Hong Kong.

    Cons

Can sometimes be high pressure to deliver. Really no real cons that I can think of working here. Maybe except for the occasional paper jam?

I worked at UBS full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Maternity and medical benefits are good! Flexible working arrangement. Pantry service is good too! Colleagues are nice to each other!

    Cons

No salary increment annually! Bonus is minimal! No reward at all even if you work hard! And management is saying 2 is the new 3 when 3 is meeting expectation in the performance appraisal process.

    5) Strategy is overly dependent on China

    Pros

Flat structure & good exposure for junior staffs.

    Cons

Middle & back office don't have clear career path. Generally UBS takes longer time to get promoted than street average.

Retain talent by offering market average or above package, otherwise talents might knock doors of GS/MS/JPM once settled in UBS for few years.
