I worked at UBS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Clear strategy and communication to employees; Nice people to work with, flexible hours. Amenable work environment, nice office locations and perks (although all this is contingent on location and varies by department.)

    Cons

For a global company, the benefits are horrible! Not a clear career path for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Don't nickel and dime your employees -- their health should mean more than the bottom line of cost.

I worked at UBS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers, non-competitive environment, and strong compensation particularly if you are working directly with financial advisors in the field. Management team is strong.

    Cons

IT systems are outdated and constantly fail at critical times. Unfortunately this is related to inheriting a network of legacy systems and keeping patching them up. It is time to do a major overhaul.

    Advice to Management

Focus on improving your systems, pay attention to home office employees as much as you do with the teams working at branches throughout the country.
